I knew it was a April Fools Joke when it was mentioned that they did not forget about NERO and the "others" when clearly Dante is the star of this show lol.

I know it's late but...bwahahahahaha!
First I thought, eish! Capcom are CrAzY bastards if they suddenly drop the bomb that they're also working on DMC5. I mean really, WTF, they aren't superhuman, how the hell is this even possible? And then I liked Meg's post for 'finding' the link (I like any post that includes an actual link, lol). And then I read the other comments.
I'm laughing more at how MEAN Meg can be than at the actual prank. LOL!!!!! I think you broke a lot of smiles and shiny eyes Meg, hehehehehehehehehehehehehe XD
And I'm just as bad for finding it very funny.

That's sounds like you had troubles with everyone and you wanted to get some revenge. Not really something I see someone do towards someone else in a friendly matter. Nice one Meg. Totally. =D

And insinuating there was malicious and spiteful intent behind it. It was just a cheeky joke on an appropriate day. On forums and videogame forums in particular people do it all the time because it's the one April Fools joke that always gets people.
To be honest if I had remembered it was April Fools day I might have beaten her to it with something like "Capcom instructs: Bring the old Dante back!"

Because what's the point of the joke? Tricking people is always fun, make them lose even more faith than what they already got is even more fun. Right? Because that is what this joke is about, no? Crushing peoples hopes even further?
Otherwise, you tell me what purpose this joke served and what it did that could be considered more positive than any of the negative parts. I mean, I'm sure the one who told the joke got herself a good laugh, and surely some who don't care for others hopes or some who doesn't care for the subject the joke is about. =D

I am going to make myself very clear and then never say a word on the subject again. Never mind the fact I've already said all of this.

It was an April Fool's Day joke and an obvious one at that. I made it obvious on purpose. I wasn't trying to trick anyone. I meant it to be a tongue in cheek joke. I was not counting on people taking it seriously and was really not expecting people to get all upset and then try to bring me down because of it. Mr. Credo and VB pulled the exact same prank last year, the news was so out of the blue, and the link was to a video of explosions. How more obvious could I have made it? I was not trying to crush anyone's hopes and found no enjoyment in accidentally doing so. You'll see I actually took the time to formally apologize in this thread to anyone that was offended.

This isn't aimed at anyone in particular and I say this without an hint of malice or spite. If you originally get fooled then that's one thing, but if your sense of humor is so poor you get offended over an April Fool's joke then that is your problem not mine. So don't insult me or bring me down for it.

Where's the insult? And I still can't see the joke. If you say I'm dumb enough to not get this damn joke, tell me and explain what the hell it is to get?

Edit: Oh others did it before? Maybe I don't have a memory of it but you got me there. If one jumps down the cliff everyone else should too, because it looks fun. :D

Seriously though, is this what it's all about? Joking about things that people wish for?
