UNBIASED opinions about the new design for Dante

Wait soo he just goes up to random people who have never played a Devil may cry game and asks who looks better? Thats pretty stupid all things considering
alot of people don't play or care much for videogames so yeah....

I think the main point about the video, the one that Alchemist posted, was just about appearance only.

If it was based on personality and appearance, then that's when I start asking questions about how people were selected for the survey.

Why is it about looks I thought the title would mean Someone with knowledge on Devil may cry giving there opinion not which one looks sexier from the viewpoint of people who have no idea what devil may cry even is. There is also a reason why classic dante looks they way he does
 
I think it was rather fun to see what people thought about the two different designs without knowing Devil May Cry or even realizing it was the same character (though there was that one guy who recognized DMC3 Dante and picked him for that). And the interviewer also tried to make it fair by saying stuff like "what if the blood splatter was removed? what if they both had same swords?" etc.
 
Lol they should have picked a better picture for old Dante XD. half of the people liked the new guy because of the swordand blood splatter haha.

Now I would like to see the same interview but interviewing gamers instead.
 
Git to say, I watched that video more for laughs after the first interview. It was mostly about the blood and the sword like others have said. I wish they had picked gamers.

Yeah because they have no idea what it is. Like the video I posted these people don't know much about videogames you could say that new dante was Link from LoZ and they'd probably believe you. If it were gamers, you know who have played japanese and western games, and asked them which was cooler then it would have more weight than just asking random people who have no idea what there looking at

then it would be slightly biased, (maybe not because the majority of the loud minority still complaining about looks probably don't go outside as often as people who socialize), this isn't about gameplay or anything, its literally just about the aesthetic, and frankly it shouldn't be at all surprising considering new dante was designed to appeal to a wider audience and to have a more masculine and grounded pseudo-realistic look, even his jacket is something you can buy in real life

It would all depend on the person old Dante's white hair and bright red coat flash out while new dante has a more i shouldn't say "generic" but more everyday look like someone you'd see everyday.

yes make him blend in, seriously, think about how demons literally control everything, how hard would it be to find an anime character who has unnaturally straight white hair and a flushed red jacket compared to a guy wearing a black jacket with a tank top and a punk haircut
