The Battle of Sparda

Here's my latest DmC video. It's Dante vs 7 Drekovac. I figured this is how the real battle to capture Sparda probably went down. Except Dante unlike his father ends up victorious. If you have the connection the video can be watched at 1080p, fullscreen! Enjoy!

Really just 7 of those guys, this Sparda must really be weak or didn't fight back much if 7 of those guys (Dante has shown capable of fending off those guys without too much hassle) were capable of capturing him.

We don't really know how many demons attacked Sparda though.

Well, that's the max that will spawn at any given time, but its definitely harder than it looks to fight them. Also, in the concept art, it seems like there's 2 of those red masked guys holding sparda in chains. So that's where I got the idea for the video.

Technically, the drekovac are bosses, they're part of Mundus's elite guard, not ordinary dreamrunners.

Those two drekavacs were only binding Sparda and we don't really know how many demons Mundus sent to capture Sparda. StylishNero said that Sparda was supposedly weak but we don't know what kind of forces Sparda faced before he was captured.

Yeah, I guess I can go extra hardcore and spawn 2 witches, a couple tyrants, and butchers in addition to the drekovac. . It probably took an army to take him down.

That's like saying all the demons in DMC must have been extremely weak, and that's why Sparda was able to single handedly kill them all.

Sparda in DmC is one of the Demon Kings. from that, we can assume it DID take an army to wear him down when he went after Mundus following making sure his sons were hidden.

demon dodge never looked so good and once you got down to only 4 guys, it was nice to watch you turn on the offence.

seriously? you think a couple of drekavacs took down sparda? He was taken down by mundus and after he was stripped of his power, he was given to the drekavacs to be imprisoned. In the hometruths mission, eva is shown to be calling for sparda when mundus arrives, so Im thinking he kept sparda busy fighting drekavacs while he killed Eva and then he went to finish off sparda ( or capture him in this case )

This sort of talk is now making me wonder if someone working on DmC watched that Panty & Socking anime. The villain in that was a demon who lived in a big tower, controlled the city and liked S & M>_<

Besides...DmC's marionettes looks even more expendable than the ones in DMC1.
They don't even count as "antique goods".

Good video! It's kinda tough to beat this, but a letdown is that the Dreamrunners take too long to do their teleport attack and it's hella easy to parry or DE it, although this fight must be challenging because you have little room to attack them, i think if you master aerial DE and Kablooey JCs it can make this a lot easier and faster.

I got the idea and liked the video, i don't know why are people taking gameplay footage as a mirror to canon this serious. And absolutely nothing in the game canon implies that Sparda was a tough demon, the narrative even makes it clear that he was hunted down like a rabbit by Mundus, and even the lore makes it clear that the real deal and threat to Mundu's "empire" and soul harvesting are the Nephilim itself, not a powerful demon alone like Sparda was to the original DMC canon.
