TGS 2012 Trailer - My Interesting finds!!

No. But considering Dante has Rebellion, it would be weird for them to change Vergil's signature weapon.

So even if that is not named Yamato, it sure as hell represents it... Which makes me 99.9% sure that it is XD

Possible but unlikely Dante has Rebellion the entire time and one of Vergil's defining traits is that he does every thing before Dante (born first, used Devil Trigger first, mastered abilities Dante still can't use over 10 years later, won their first battle in DMC3 etc.) and DmC Vergil seems to retain that trait (constant white hair the entire time while Dante only has white hair during DT at first, adopted by a rich family while Dante isn't adopted at all, leader of the Order while Dante is just joining at the start of the game. So it would be very odd for Vergil to be after Dante on something as important as getting his signature weapon and if he has it there is no reason to use a lesser weapon of the same type.

    It pretty much seems like Kat is being taken as hostage here(bastards!) Now, if you look closely in this first picture, you will probably see someone faraway on top of the car and guess who it is? Yes, it's Vergil! Because as you can see from the screen capped pictures above, it seems like there is some kind of exchange deal going on! The other hostage seems to be Lilith.
  • Second:

    In the background, the painting seems to represent the love between a devil and angel, male has horns and tail and female has angelic wings. It may be a nod to the love between Sparda and Eva (Oh, forbidden love ;) ) Also it seems like both Dante and Vergil used to come to this park in childhood because at the beginning of the trailer, Vergil says that their mother used to bring them here!

    This is the best picture! If you look at the wall painting, the paint represents half demon and half angel but what I found really interesting was the sides Vergil and Dante are standing, maybe a coincidence! I mean Vergil is on the Demon's side and Dante is on the Angel's side! I think it explains about the nature of good and evil.

Is it me or does the vergil in the end of the trailer have a more spiked hairstyle( like in DMC 3) ?
 
Thanks for these stills! Wow, that painting of the angel and demon romance is gorgeous. (Sparda's background seems largely unchanged, but I'm really curious to know Eva's new origins. I would have been okay with her story being unremarkable as an ordinary human, but now that she's an angel, she better not be lame. Sparda was right hand to a god, Eva needs to be just as amazing, not just "mommy". Where's her cool portrait?)

The symbolism of Dante and Vergil on either side of the demon/angel painting is a lovely touch. If they're gonna pimp the theme for all it's worth, at least it looks like they're doing it well.

I'm worried about Kat. Things are looking more and more like they might not end well for her. I hope she gets an opportunity to use her abilities to help herself; we don't need another Kyrie damsel.

Lilith...is weirding me out. What's with the bra?

Vergil looks like a straight-up pimp in that hat, and I don't mean that as a compliment. I really love his new look, but whoever thought that bit up needs to be slapped.

I agree with you about Kat. The whole damsel-in-distress bit has been used too much. So, hopefully they'll do something different with her.

I guess I've gotten used to seeing Vergil wearing that fedora. I normally hate hats, but I kind of like it on him.

Yup, I think they will tell us a lot about the couple.

And just as I thought while playing at TGS. During DT the red coat is deliberately designed to flap like bloody wings.

Actually from what I've heard, Sparda was the god, and Mundus was the right hand man in this version.

NO! No more Nero, please. I'm as sick of him as I am of Ezio. He was okay at first, but in the end I wanted more Dante.
