But they said themselves that they want to go "edgier" with this game, they want to cross the line between games and movies narratives. There are plenty of great movies that feature rape.
But I do agree that most gamers are not mature enough for that subject to be displayed without controversy, you just have to look at Square-Enix's Tomb Raider and the rape scene fiasco, so much controversy that the PR got lost and every time they talk about the subject they make the game look worse.
She actually doesn't, it's just an impression caused by the lighting.
Are you sure? Because you would at least see the shadow stretch out on the side of her head, like Lilith's, but it doesn't.

Maybe they just decided to punch her there, after all her left arm is where she got shot. Plus Did you know that a left handed person use to represent that that person was possessed by a demon? Guess that's one of the reasons why Dante uses Rebellion with his left and right hand.

I guess Sparda doesn't have his powerful "sword that bore his own name."
Why would they do that anyways? It's not like he looks like the old Dante. His 2010 version looked DMC 2 Dante but they've made too many changes for him to resemble any of the old Dantes.
Because having a god- like weapon would completely destroy NT's narrative?
