I won't believe that it's actually R-rated until it comes out.

"McFarlane then went on to note that the film won't serve as a direct follow-up to the 1997 movie. Instead it will offer a fresh take on the franchise that has "a dark, R-rated, scary, badass sort of script."

Todd's been talking about this Spawn movie for literal years now. It's been teased and delayed so long that most fans have been conditioned to the simple mentality of: "We'll believe it when we see it."

Personally, I hope he gets a move on with that Spawn Animation project that's been on the shelf for years. If the HBO show was any indication, Spawn works best in animated form, what with the art style and subject matter.

I liked the Spawn's movie of 1997. When I watched it many years ago, i rembember that I loved that movie.
