some doubts about dmc

I don't know. The point was that from what i've seen they are making Dante this dude who gets laid alot because he's just that cool, and he's other things that are cool, he score with chicks all the time, parties, drinks, and it's a revel who hates the establishment. That's right there is what I'm calling right now as their goal for the character.

Dante is a realistic young adult who tries to separate himself from society or the "establishment" from what we see it seems his life before the order is actually pretty hollow. he has no friends and is surrounded by demons who seem to make a habit of trying to kill him on a regular basis. so im giving him a pass on the whole party boy attitude, because it may lead to some interesting developments in the story.

nah i know but im just saying that i approve of it. as the way their playing it isnt your super hip party animal. rather the opposite. which i think will lend itself to the story. as opposed to heavily hinting at it and leading it nowhere.

Alright not to be rude people but the title says "some doubts about dmc" so i think we should take the time to state any constructive doubt and thought about this game. I think this topic and the "Dante: virgin/non-virin" topic is taboo. There are always going to be these long winding debates that have one party taking it WAY too seriously and another that's the extreme opposite.It's a game people, you will not be driven to screw anyone or be prone to any type of sexually transmitted disease while playing the game so please let's just stay on topic.

Now the one thing i want to know GAMEPLAY WISE is: what is the control scheme for ps3? If anyone can find one or direct me to one it'll be great.

The controls look great to me! Very fluid and easy to understand.

haha you're welcome man
and don't fret about the d-pad cluttering things look at it this way:

it will be the perfect mix of dmc3 and dmc4 style switching. what i mean by that is, with dmc3 you could only switch between two sets of weapons at once but it was very quick. with dmc4 you had all your weapons on the fly, but it was cluttered because you had to switch between 3 sets of weapons as well as having to take your finger off the analogue stick if you wanted to switch styles.

well with DmC, you can MAKE your own sets of weapons by switching up your combination of angel weapons, demon weapons, normal weapons, and guns. so that way you can change your weapon set on the fly without having to get to a statue of time, and once a person becomes more advanced they can switch weapons while in mid-combat. so i think i'm gonna LOVE the weapon switching in this game.

btw i hope i didn't make that too confusing.

i love the way this is. cause the set out of the D-Pad means we'll get a natural way of customizing our own Dantes to refect our own fighting styles and personality. the more weapons the more customisation therefore the better the game. cheers for the info @choco

i know right and im actually anticipatiing/hoping the wars that'll take place when people try and argue which custom is best. i just hope all weapons are equal. unlike in DMC4 where Pandora was by far the best gun (and i loved it). so no single combination is perfect making more room for improvement.

me too! and yes i want every weapon to have an advantage. there shouldn't just be one weapon that is overall best.

right now im curious how they'll use the D-pad. will they only use left and right and leave up and down free? or will they have a strange design where up and down scroll through demon and left and right demonic? if only i could play it myself to find out....oh wait i can at EUROGAMER!!!! well my theory is this:
left-angel weapons
right-demon weapons
up-normal weapons
down-guns
but yes i am also interested in seeing how they actually use the d-pad layout.
