Smartest game

I remember seeing a game advertised a few months ago, that you have to re-instlal it every so often because the AI actually remembers how you play, and works out a stratagey to combat the player, i just cant remember what its called

Any ideas on it, or any games similar, it was either a stratagy, or FPS i think... my memory has failed me again

I know the AI in Age of Empires could do this, it had a tendancy to remember exactly the method I last attacked it if I went back and replayed a level, and as such, it would fortify itself in that position, essentially adapting to your strategy, making you think on your feet.

Not sure if it's that you're thinking of, but I do recall such a game.

My brother told me that he had to re-install it because the game knew him too well, but that wasnt what i was thinking of, rep+ to AC for AOE though

How about Half-Life 2 in the most difficult mode or Ninja Gaiden 2.
