Sales Prediction

If the DmC haters don't buy the game, the curiosity will get the best of them, so they'll went it. That's still money in NT's pockets. DmC will be sold all across the world, they'll definitely reach 2 million copies goal. Japan is full of original dmc fans. I'm curious what their opinions are about this game thus far.

They'd probably rent the game instead of buying it.

I went into Gamestops in my town, I didn't check for pre-orders but they did have the cover cases on a row on both sides (xbox360 on one side, ps3 the other) I saw them at the entrance too, so they're definitely not hiding them with like one 'coming soon' copy in the corner :3

Yeah. My store is full of display boxes, a "Coming Soon" poster in each console section, and a cool 3D poster that I got to put together :3

Keep running, I'm right behind you!

That 3D poster sounds so cool!

I think DmC will get about 1 million to 1.5 million. Maybe even less then that. Youtube is a big fanbase for a lot of people to share their opinion on things such as games and when you go to a DmC video that has a massive amount of views and you see nothing bout a 60-70% bad rating and massive hatred towards the game then you can come the conclusion this game isn't going to sell that well. COD4 has a lot of hate on it but it has such a wide fanbase that would never tell.

I suppose by 3D poster I mean...like...layered.

It's the regular poster of the cover of the game, but the back of the poster is the background, then it's Dante's concrete wings, then Dante, and then some more flying concrete in the front on the bottom. Each layer is connected to the other by inch-thick foam cubes :p Still really cool though.

But the people bitching about DmC are a consistent group, I always see the same people complaining, and the same amount of dislikes, which isn't the majority on the Thumb bar anymore. There are a lot of people on both sides who don't spend their time on the internet to talk about their love for it, or their hatred of it. Some are content with knowing it's on the way and picking it up when it comes out.

All YouTube really shows is that the people who dislike the game lead sad enough lives to waste time seeking out what they don't like.

Usually seems like the loudest people are the complainers. (I don't just mean about DmC, but life in general). If someone is happy, they are not likely to complain or be very loud about the view.

That's really what it is. The internet allows people platforms, and the loudest, craziest people are the ones who use it most often. Things that would normally be dismissed and forgotten are given a place to fester and boil over on the internet. It's always a loud minority, because anyone who is okay with something has moved on :/

I'm glad to see that finally a DmC video has lot of likes. The CG trailer has more than 1000 likes. That's really cool. It has 381 dislikes, but it shows that the hating is slowing down.

Several videos have more likes than dislikes now. Glad to see that it's becoming better. People are starting to see the game isn't bad and that many things were blown out of proportion, unfortunately.

There is no correlation whatsoever between people liking/disliking videos and people actually going out to buy the product.

It's just used to gauge interest. That's all.

That can be said vice versa. I see the same people defending the game and the same people who dislike it. It still doesn't help the fact that almost every DmC video with a mass amount of views has a massive negative rating. These are the fans of DMC. I mean there is a reason why this forum and CC is the near only site that a lot of fans doesn't bash this game like they want to. Youtube is the biggest fanbase of them all because its the most common site people go to watch gaming videos and nearly any videos. I personally feel this game will sell 1-1.5 million but I won't be shocked if it did less. Capcom had NT were very unprofessional at damage control and instead lashed out the people who lashed out at the game. They should have just played it smart instead of making those fans even madder.

Please, show me these "unprofessional lashings out," because I've never seen anything that wasn't idiotic contrivances and things taken out of context...

So if someone goes on youtube and watch a trailer for a game and decided they didn't like it and then dislike the video what does it imply? That they are more likely to purchase the game or pass it by? Nothing is black and white in these issues but what I said is just a hypothesis. This isn't the first capcom game this has happened to. I'm just going off of history.

It's not even a proper gauge when so many can easily go there to Like/Dislike a video when they never had any intentions of caring about the game, and are simply jumping on a bandwagon :/

I'm sure this guy has made it here but he speaks the truth when it comes to Capcom and NT. Just watch the video, I know its a long video but its a good one. Its not a fanboy/hater video, I'm glad he isn't a brainless fanboy or hater because I can't stand either but what he said about Capcom was right on the money and the proof is there in his video and links int he description so you can see it with your own eyes.

Oh God, you posted an Event Status video. >_<

It shows that one person disliked the video. Again, likes/dislikes don't dictate actual sales. People who like videos of this game might not even buy it. it just shows interest.

Sorry, I'm not watching any of that guy's ****. He's a verbose rabble rouser who does nothing but seemingly pour fuel on the fire for views, and has gotten many of his facts wrong, without rectifying them when they're pointed out to him :/
