DMC4 is set after DMC1, so all that will already have happened by this game.

DMC4 is before of DMC2...............that mean te DMC1 is after of DMC2

DMC3, DMC1, DMC4, DMC2

As vergil goes through the underworld at the end of DMC3, and is under Mundus's control in DMC1, it won't make sense if DMC4 is about his struggle with Mundus, as that has already happened.
