Well on the deception issue do you feel there's a level where gamers are justified to sue ?
And what would that level of deception be for gamers to be justified if there is one?

In most cases I think a simple refund would do. However if you have been conned by a phony Kickstarter project & had money taken or been tricked out of hundreds of pounds via "free to play titles". Then maybe people would be justified to sue for misleading business practice.

Oh i didn't think about the free2play.
What are ways gamers get cheated in free2play ?

And are there free2play tech demos ?

Games that are free to play but they end up as pay2win. Make it really difficult to level up or obtain decent gear without paying real money to do so or limiting play so much you have no choice but to pay. Not that many games show tech demos unless they have complex systems under the hood they want to showcase. Free2play games aren't usually that technically complex.

It's deception in that you will generate hype for a product the final audience will not see and bull-shots and PC gameplay posing as final release gameplay is nothing new. In the end consumer trust will be lost though and it's in their interests to show people properly, after all they will find out soon enough on release.
