Reboot a Character?

If you dislike the concept of a reboot why are you in a thread about rebooting charicters in a section of the forum dedicated to a reboot (I am not saying you shouldn't post here I just don't understand why you would want to.) If you are interested in original charicter ideas for DmC2 it would make more sense to create a thread on that topic instead of attempting to change the topic of someone else's thread to suit your own desires (which is both against the rules and very rude)
As i said, there is not much difference between a rebooted character and a new one.

Hm, how about rebooting Beowulf?
He would still hold this huuuuge grudge against Sparda and be on a hunt for Dante (and possiblely Vergil) and could be used to elaborate on Sparda's story a little more, instead of letting Phineas do all the story telling :P

As for Nero and his crew, I really like the idea of them being genetic experiments, as darkslayer13 suggested. But instead of rebooting the whole Order of the Sword, why not make them part of a side branch of The Order, from another part of the world? That way The Order could be explored a bit more, the Nero-Vergil connection would still be there somehow, but better explained and more logical, and looking at conceptart, they originally wanted to incorporate experiments on demons, so they could take up that idea again :>
Or what BLACKSWIPE wrote, seriously, that was such a great and well developed idea!

Speaking of rebooted....has anyone metioned Nevan yet? In a way she reminds me of Lilith, so why not have her rebooted as Lilith's sister out for revenge or something like that?
Guuh, I'd love to see Nevan again! Love the "Lilith's sister" take on her, that way we'd also get a direct connection to the first game which would make things more complex, I guess.

I like the beowulf idea. he could just be a savage, deranged Demon released after the Hellgate was destroyed that roams around the earth in search of the brothers.

A rebooted charicter is based on a charicter from the original a new charicter is not and more importantly rebooted charicters are the topic of this thread new ones are not. This is not a matter of opinion. Words have definitions and threads have topics and you are ignoring both.

I will not continue to explain this to you. If you attempt to disrupt this thread again I will report you without any additional comment. You are breaking the rules of this forum and you cannot claim to be unaware of this at this point.

eres my shot at DMCs sweet heart Trish:
first things first credit where its due over here--------------->by strawbeki on tumblr

iiiis my inspiration for Trish. i think she should be incredibly powerful, perhaps a demon god(ess) or the daughter of one. shes old, very old like 1000 or sommit (adventure time peeps geddit). she has a curiosity with humanity. not evil, just has no real moral code other than her family. she finds Dante intriguing and has a mini crush/obsession with him. wanting him to go full demon (maybe to take him home to the parents eh eh). in my DmC2 she serves as a sort of temptress asking whether or not its just better for him to abandon his "humanity" cause technically hes not even human. Dante is tempted to try and kill her but she helps him every now and then (like Kat but more out of fun than desperation to save the world) and they form a quasi relationship of trust.

as time continues she starts to adopt Dantes morality and she too begins to want to protect humans also. when Dante goes off the rails and full demon she realizes the horror of what she did and instantly goes to help him.

when its a decision between her family (whom she loves) and saving humanity she desperately tries to get them to see things her way and protect humanity rather than enslave them. they are less than pleased convinced Dante worked some angel spell to brain wash their daughter and lock her away. she escapes on her own and meets Dante intent on banishing her family from earth and convinces dante to help her rather than just kill them.

all does not go to plan and Trish is forced to choose between Dante+humanity or her family. she chooses the first one and instantly is overcome by her grief crying over the loss of her loved ones considering herself to be the greatest devil among them. Dante consoles her and reminds her DEVILS NEVER CRY :D

personality wise: think marceline the vampire queen (what it fits so i ships) . basically flirtatious but in a sort of subtle way so your not sure if shes messing with you or she genuinely isnt sure how the whole relationship thing works. she is ruthless tho, less so as the game progresses but would still tear an acolyte to shreds in an instant.

would she be used as a devil arm or do devil arms not exist in this universe?

i would like to see nero. i wasn't a huge fan of him for years but i'd like to see how he'd be handled in this world.

Good question. I dunno it seemed like Dante just obtained previously owned weapons from stronger characters. So maybe whatever her main weapon is, is what he would acquire.

How would Nero return with Red Queen & Blue Rose? Cause if was a cambion he'd be born with a demon arm until his body evolves slowly.

i wouldn't make Nero a relative of Dante's, i would just cut ties and focus on making him his own man.

1. He was a cambion Dante met in his time at the correction facility. He and Dante became friends and made plans to escape together but Dante had to leave him behind. Right now with the fall of Mundus he is free and mad at Dante (this wont be pretty :ermm:).
he's a more cerebral character with mental abilities and fights using his hands, martial artist.
he doesn't have his his **** together and more of a throwback to tgs 10 Dante

2. He is a resident of hell who vergil recruits. ls like Monkey(enslaved) in terms of character and look and fights like a wild animal. Vergil recruits him and lucia because of similarities with Dante so its a chance to be a little meta with the character.
