Reboot a Character?

I hate reboots, and i hate the fact that Dante was rebooted.

So you encouraging rebooting gets on my nerve. If anything the characters in DMC should be made better, instead of Lady and Nero etc being rebooted into DmC. I don´t doubt you like the original serie, but i can´t resist asking you how can you love the originals if you want them to be put into DmC 2, rather asking for how they should be improved in DMC sequal?

I won´t rant anymore than this. And me suggesting the thread to be about making new characters is just a suggestion, just to clarify.

No need for you to be sorry. Incarnated's just having a rant. It's not an attack against you, more like against DmC having old characters rebooted into it.^_^ She's not a big fan of DmC...as you can see from the rant.

Speaking of rebooted....has anyone metioned Nevan yet? In a way she reminds me of Lilith, so why not have her rebooted as Lilith's sister out for revenge or something like that?

I'd also like a rebooted Lucia. Half human and half angel maybe? That would fit with her angel looking devil trigger. Not sure about a backstory for her though.

An angel charges towards Dante​

Cassiel appears deflecting the angels attack while facing his back to Dante.​

Dante: Who the hell are you?​

Cassiel looks at Dante, ignores him, and faces back towards the angels​

Angels group leader: What is the meaning of this Cassiel?​

Cassiel: This nephilim did not kill x.​

Angel group leader: Have you lost your sanity, Heaven is not wrong! Are all of our brothers and sisters testimony not enough for you?​

Cassiel: They are all liars​

Angel group leader: So you have sided with the Nephilims...​

Cassiel: Hold your tongue brother! The nephilim has not done any injustice​

Now stop this before any blood is spilled.​

Besides his name, he's also a stoic badass with a penchant for sharp weapons. But he's also an adorkable comically serious mess.

thanks........i did the same thing with Lucia in my post above. But i havent heard anyone mention Nevan yet, i like it. Or she could atleast be a Demon overlord under Vergil something along those lines could be cool.

I had another similar idea i put in a different post. I had a Fallen Angel named Zorak that was a sort of bodyguard or mercenary for Vergil. Vergil tricks him into believing that there is a way back into heaven, but in exchange for entrance back, he had to follow Vergils every command. he battles with Dante a few times through out the game. Dante eventually proves that Vergil has decieved him. Zorak confronts Vergil about this and after a short battle is defeated and fatally wounded by yamato. Dante eventuall y finds him. Zorak then appologizes and after some dialogue finds his way back to heaven, but wills Dante a new power or weapon first.

this is Castiel Dude. He is extremely skilled in hand to hand combat as well as blades. can teleport, read minds, and heal almost all wounds or afflictions, as well as travel through time at the cost of strain and injury on his own body. really cool character. I like yours as well though. really good idea. i got my angel characters name off google as well.

If you had shown this to any DMC fan, under condition there was no DMC reboot announcement,

Not a single DMC fan would say "That's Dante!".

My point with this is that rebooted characters aren't any different than new characters. The only difference is that rebooted characters intentionally have same traits as original characters because it's company practice. You don't kill of a brand. That's probably why Pikachu never evolved to Raichu because that character was important.
Hence Reboot is a way for company to change things but at same time not loose their brand.


If i had changed the angels name from Cassiel to Credo, would it really make any difference? He still would be a angel of justice, and he still would dislike Nephilims.
Me making a new character (not original) is my way of participating.

Since i dislike rebooting, i dont want to make a concept for a reboot of any characters. If Reaper (who made thread) do not accept this i will respect his wish.

If you dislike the concept of a reboot why are you in a thread about rebooting charicters in a section of the forum dedicated to a reboot (I am not saying you shouldn't post here I just don't understand why you would want to.) If you are interested in original charicter ideas for DmC2 it would make more sense to create a thread on that topic instead of attempting to change the topic of someone else's thread to suit your own desires (which is both against the rules and very rude)
