Reboot a Character?

REAPER 3142

Revenge Solves Everything..............
if you could reboot characters for the sequel, who would it be. what role would they play. maybe what powers or influences would they have that affect the other characters, etc............. I have three.
1.Nero- Hellion (half human/demon.) Brother of Lucia. playable character
Weapons:
+Devil Bringer: A black gauntlet covered in red runes pulsing with power. Nero uses it as his melee attack weapon by punching foes or slamming the ground to damage surrounding enemies.
+Red Queen(now a gun.): Huge Magnum Pistol. Does Moderate damage but has a low rate of fire.
Abilities:
+Demon Dodge:Same as DmC. Dodge at the correct time and gain a damage boost.
+Shaodw Shield: Devil Bringer creates an impervious barrier to protect from harm, but renders Nero immobile while active.
+Grab/Pull: Acts just like the ophion whip from DmC. Can either pull enemies close or Nero to his foes.
+Brutal Kill: Uses the Devil Bringer to finish off an enemy with a grab that varies by enemy type.
+Kill Shot: Combines the Devil Bringer and Red Queen for an extremely powerful charged shot.
+Devil Trigger: Covers Nero in Black flame causing damage to foes that hit him, adds damage bonus to the Devil Bringer, health regen and slows the Red Queen's fire rate but adds a small explosive to the shot.

2.Lucia- Half Wing (half human/angel.) Sister of Nero. <I borrowed the halfwing idea from a fellow user.> playable character
Weapons:
+Blue Rose(now a sword.): an angelic katana similar to yamato. it glows light blue and has a metallic green handle. does moderate damage but strikes its foes very fast.
+Razor Feather: Silver throwing daggers that Lucia uses for ranged attacks.
Abilities:
+Angel Dodge: allows Lucia to teleport away from harm.
+Wing Flap: Lucia's wings appear for a brief moment, allowing her to gain more height in her jump.
+Rush: Lucia charges forward at blistering speed with a wide slash followed by a trail of slashes to hit multiple foes.
+Falling Feathers: Throws multiple daggers into the air to hit a large group of foes.
+Lightning impale: Throws the Blue Rose at a single target, causing damage and incapacitating them for a short time.
+Angel Trigger: Lucia glows white and forms black tattoos on her body. Gains a damage boost for the Blue Rose. adds health regen, speed boost, and Lightning damage to the Razor Feathers.

3.Arius- Powerful user of black magic and human father to both Nero and Lucia. Arius captured both a female angel and demon. Used them to create Nero and Lucia to act as his protection against stronger foes. Trained them to be brutal fighters and to eventually help Dante in his battle against Vergil. but has plans of his own to try and overthrow Dante. But Nero and Lucia form a bond with Dante and side with him over their own father.

Agnus: I could see DmC making him even creepier, plus I bet NT would show him doing some of his experiments. ALso, I've always been wondering why he did not get along with Credo. Maybe they could explain that too. Which leads me on to...

Credo: I want to see what a rebooted Credo would be like too. Would he be a real angel this time? Some kind of leader of angel warriors maybe? But that's just because I want to see a fight between angels and demons, or angels against Dante and Vergil.

Yeah i would like to see credo turn out as a true angel warrior. that was my single biggest disappointment with DmC. the lack of angels. and agnus would be cool. beating his ass was so fun. time for another round.

Mary "Lady" Arkham: human, NPC, possible love interest

Wow, sarcasm, how incredibly original. Did you stay up all night working on that, or did your mommy help you?

first off..........wow, nice picture of lady. second it would be interesting seeing her as a possible love interest with Kat still around. one is a modern day witch and one a badass demon hunter. i do however think that lady shouldnt be as strong as she was in dmc3. some of the stuff she did in cutscenes gave dante a run for his money......but shes only human. make her like a female jason statham. pure badass. but come on.......put dante and statham in aroom with one gun and see who exits alive.

Forgive me if I offend anyone with this. I just wanted to try something a bit new and out-of-the-box. NOTE: Kyrie is also much younger, she isn't a love interest of Nero anymore. She's more like a little sister-type to him if anything. Also prepare yo anus for some long-ass reading.

Credo Vertilies (Playable character after beating the campaign on Hell and Hell, and beating bloody palace.)

"The Antagonist, the one-winged Knight."

Race: Half-Angel/Half-Angel

Age: 31

Weight: 213 Lbs

Height: 6'5 Ft

Personal Quote: "I think you should do as I say." "I don't need any power, I already

Theme Song: A darkened version of 'Swipe of the Sword'. A bit more intimidating and darker sounding.

Occupation: Hitman for the "Order of the Sword"

Appearance: Credo is a tall man, keeping much of his old look. His old beard and facial-structure remain the same, but his hair has changed. Instead of the longish hair that he kept down to his shoulders, Credo has his hair at the same length but slicked back and combed over to the side, giving him the appearance of a typical gangster from the 1940's. His beard is neatly groomed and pointy where the tip of it sits on his chin. Credo typically wears a pure white suit, pinstriped with a lighter shade of silver. His dress-shirt underneath is also white, a golden tie attached to the shirt. A pocket sewn into the inside of his blazer holds papers and other important documents.

Personality: Born with Asperger's Syndrome, Credo was unable to feel empathy from an early age. The only person who he could ever truly connect with was his sister, Kyrie. After killing his father with a 2x4, Credo fully understood that to protect his sister he would do anything. Credo has an interesting take on honor, believing that if one has to steal and murder for the ones that they love, then he or she should feel free to do it. Credo possesses above average intelligence that is unexplainable, considering that only his sister ever received any formal schooling. Credo is a trained and brutal killer, unable to feel mercy nor empathy for any of his victims. He holds a small bit of curiosity for the Nephilim Dante, interested in his fighting ability. Credo is unable to speak with other members of the group, Kyrie doing most of his talking for him.

Summary: Credo was born into a broken family, a demon had impregnated a woman. His father was Myles Gorden, a drunkard angel who had been kicked out of heaven for committing grave crimes. He had met a human-woman in Las Vegas, and during the spur of the moment he had gotten himself married to her. Though as time went by, the two grew to hate one another. His mother had gotten herself addicted to Heroin, spiraling down into a pit of depression and self-loathing, while his father had taken up the bottle. Unable to afford better lodgings, the two lived rented out a decrepit apartment within the heart of Detroit.

Several years down the road, Credo was born. Myles didn't seem to care very much for his son, seeing him only as a meal ticket for welfare and benefits. His mother only seemed to care for him to a certain extent, for a good while she had planned to sell him for drug money. By the time Credo was eleven, he was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. Credo was unable to feel any love nor empathy for both his father and his mother, he was intelligent enough to know that they were terrible people. His mother never stuck up for him when his father turned his aggression on him, nor did she seem to care when he was bloodied up or beaten. But what Credo didn't know was that he was not entirely human. His father had never shown him his angel form, always keeping himself in his human form. His mother didn't know either, Myles never bothered to show her.

When Credo was thirteen, his sister Kyrie was born. However Kyrie was not from the same father. His mother had slept with another man when Myles wasn't around. Two years later, when Myles learned of his wife's adultery, he went into a blind rage and killed his wife. He then turned on his children, wielding a kitchen knife. But Myles didn't anticipate that Credo would be ready for such an attack, Myles instead was killed. During the murder of his mother, Credo had prepared a 2x4 that he had found within the alleyway behind their house. Myles was killed instantly with a blow to the head, Credo had become stronger than his own Angel father. Credo took his sister Kyrie and fled the house hold with nothing but extra clothing and twenty-seven dollars.

At that time Credo was only 15, unable to find work or provide for his little sister. But he did so anyways, managing to feed his sister by stealing purses and selling scrap metal. They lived within an abandoned building, shielded from prying eyes and thieving demons. But he would do anything to protect his sister, killing anyone who dared to harm his sister. As Credo grew up, so did his abilities. While he didn't possess any wings nor an angelic transformation, Credo did inherit something left to him from his father. When Credo had slain his father in cold blood, Myles had understood that his son would grow up to be even greater than him. He accepted his death and gave his soul to Credo, his soul became an Angel-Arm. The sword, Colossus, would be his main tool of his future trade. He eventually attracted the attention of a religious group, 'The Order of the Sword.' Credo was only 18 when he was approached by the leader of this group, Santus Charles.

To Santus, Credo was unrefined yet still a diamond. While Credo did not know of his angelic origins, Sanctus did. As the leader of a true terrorist group, a group that claims to want to rid the world of demon. Santus however has plans that are very different, plans evolving the Nephillim. Santus knew of their poverty stricken life, having watched him since the day he was born. He offered Credo a choice, work with him, or die in a life of poverty. Watch his sister die from starvation, or give her everything that she could ever dream of. Credo willingly accepted, anything if it meant protecting his sister.

As the years went by, Credo was honed into one of the most deadliest hitman in the world. Few could ever hope to compare to his skills or his brutality in combat. Credo refined his skills under the watchful eye of the Order of the sword, becoming a master swordsman.

Abilities: [Official Profile description] Credo is an extremely intelligent and calculating man, able to predict the players movements and learn from their mistakes and move-sets. The player cannot use the same move combination more than three times or Credo will learn. Credo also possesses brutish strength rivaling that of Dante's, able to crush the ground with a heavy blow to the floor. Credo also possesses lightning speed and agility, able to move at a speed rivaling Vergil. Credo is also capable of creating a large golden shield upon his right arm, capable of deflecting medium-strength attacks and heavy-strength attacks for a short amount of time.

Weapons:
Colossus:
The Angel-Arm that was once his father. Colossus is a huge sword, weighing approx 213 Lbs. The sword resembles that of a traditional broadsword. The blade is of a glossy golden color that reflects light, small ridged edges dot the tip of the blade. These edges are microscopic and are meant to latch on to the skin once the sword has entered the body, making it horribly painful for the victim to move.

Damn, Blakswipe! Sounds like your version of Credo would get along with my Rodan great! http://devilmaycry.org/community/threads/create-a-character-weapon-combo.15530/

I have a few ideas:
Nero, Credo and Agnus would be three humans experimented on and given demonic power the three of them would be enemies in the first game they appear in but Nero (and possibly Credo) would be an ally in later games (Agnus would die or join the next villain)
Nero would be the first. He would be stronger than the others but the experiments would have resulted in the loss of his right arm which would be replaced by an artificial demonic arm with a grappling hook like weapon attached. This version of Nero would have no implied connection to Vergil. Red Queen would be a fire devil arm instead of a human weapon but would still be a large sword. Blue Rose would be a more reasonably sized but still large revolver with one barrel. This Nero would be older and more mature than Dante (reversing their DMC4 equivalents' roles) but would still have the same basic personality as the original Nero.
Agnus would be both the second experiment and one of the individuals responsible for the experiments. His alterations would have a less organic and more mechanical appearance and would be constantly visable with no alternate forms.
Credo would be the third experiment and would have an unaltered human form and a angelic looking demon from.
Both Agnus and Credo would have the same basic personalities as the originals.
Kyrie would still be Credo's sister and Nero's love interest and would still have the same basic role (primary motivation for Nero and Credo) and personality (brave dispite her lack of power or combat ability and compassionate) she would be a willing ally of the antagonist (who would be some one who appears to be good (or maybe even someone actually good to really surprise the player)) and would be the reason why Nero and Credo work for the antagonist.

Lady and Beryl would be new members of the Order recruited by Dante as part of efforts to improve its direct combat capabilities. Beryl would be a low ranking member using a Anti-Materiel rifle.
Lady would be the third most important member of the Order (just below Dante and Kat) and would use a wide variety of weapons with a strong preference for RPGs ( a realistic alternative to using a rocket launcher as big as she is) she would be more capable than most humans but to a more realistic degree than the original to suit the tone of the reboot.

Arkham would still be Lady's father but would be the human representative of the angels instead of a human seekin Sparda's power (he would still be evil and want power he would just have found a different route to gain power than the original.)
Trish would still be a demon made by Mundus as a copy of Eva but would have been recruited by Arkham before the start of DmC. Arkham and Trish would not be the antagonists in their first appearance. Instead the would appear a few time during the game and try to recruit Dante for the angels (the antagonist would be whatever demon is currently in charge)

I also had an idea for DmC Nelo Angelo. the basic idea is that Vergil would be redeemed in a way that makes his relationship with Dante worse instead of better (possibly something involving working with a demon with good goals that Dante is still opposed to for personal reasons.) and that Kat would (reluctantly) side with Vergil (hopeing that she could convince Dante to join them). Then Dante would join the angels incorrectly assuming that anything opposed to demons is good. Then Dante would be made into the DmC version of Nelo Angelo. I think that this would create more potential for interesting stories than any of the more obvious storylines.

I wanted Credo to have a greater sense of duty and pride, I wanted to make him a humble yet experienced character who would do anything to protect the one that he loves.

I would reboot Nero into a cambion since Dante and Vergil are the only ones who'd be nephilim.

Taken from the orphanage by the "Order of the Sword" led by Sanctus during Dante's childhood. Nero doesn't relate to Sparda. He'd be from a different family from a demon who is friend's with Sparda.

Nero became a Christian during a young age by his foster mother, until both parents were slained by demons.

yeah i think nero really deserves a reboot. i chose the cambion thing as well, but changed the name to hellion seeieng as nt changed the idea of nephilim.

I got a better suggestion than rebooting characters.

How about instead of rebooting character that will anger DMC character fans , make new ones?
I still am not over that DmC Dante is a reboot of DMC Dante. I want to straggle cats.

If you want DMC characters to be given more development, instead of asking them to rebooted into DmC, why not ask for more character development in DMC?

This will be me the day they reboot Trish:

I liked the reboot though.Dont get me wrong i love the originals, i continue to play them, but story wise it was messy and raised more questions than answers. i do wish it was continued, but at the same time im just as hopeful for a DmC2 as well. I was curious what other characters people liked and would like to see expanded on in the DmC universe.

I hate reboots, and i hate the fact that Dante was rebooted.

So you encouraging rebooting gets on my nerve. If anything the characters in DMC should be made better, instead of Lady and Nero etc being rebooted into DmC. I don´t doubt you like the original serie, but i can´t resist asking you how can you love the originals if you want them to be put into DmC 2, rather asking for how they should be improved in DMC sequal?

I won´t rant anymore than this. And me suggesting the thread to be about making new characters is just a suggestion, just to clarify.

// annoyed rant over.
