Raiden MGS

So I haven't really been following the MGS stories very much. But I've been playing Metal Gear Rising for the past few days. And I've been wondering when did Raiden lose his real body? Did it get crushed or something?

It happened between MGS2 and 4. While he was rescuing Olga's daughter he was tortured and lost many body parts that were replaced by cybernetic ones

Sadly, with Kojima gone we may never get a game that explores those events :'(

no. only skin implants. Look closely at him. he still has stitched parts

Yeah, used as a test subject/tortured by the Patriots. Pretty sure his body was replaced from the jaw down, which happened between MGS2 and MGS4. I kind of liked Raiden as he was in MGS2, but he's more badass in Rising, anyway, so that's good.
