A lot of angels and demons were originally humans, I believe. Maybe Dante used to be half human half demon, but he got that angelic power and that erased his human side, but let him keep his "humanity".

That actually depends on which interpretation of Angels and Demons you are referring to.

Some info sais that humans after death can become a Angel or a Demon.

But other info say the contrary and that Angels and Demons where created by the God and the Devil and are in a separate class from humans altogether.

^ then i suppose criticism can only follow by the same rules, stating that interpretation, assumption, and speculation is creating all of these biases that are unnecessary

And this makes for an interesting point, as it is Limbo City (Could be presumed to be Purgatory) that Dante resides in. As I believe Dante's Stalker stated, what if Dante died and then gained his 'Angel' side from all of his good deeds? Or something along those lines. It makes for an interesting point. Though from what we know so far from the story, that probably isn't the case. But like I said, it's interesting.

Also when we established that it doesn't matter what 'race' you are to be still belong to 'humanity' in a way, because it's what you do for humans and the choices you make that shape you into what you ultimately are. Hence why Sparda became more human when he stayed in the human World for so long. He embraced humanity. Dante not being part human doesn't take away his 'humanity', as we made clear. So making him 'half' angel still doesn't change the whole feel that Devil May Cry originally had, as I stated already many times before.

humans have become demons in Devil May Cry. (Arius, Arkam, Sanctus, Credo, Agnus and the Alto Angelos) so the idea of a human becoming an angel or demon in DmC in some situations still fits Devil May Cry.(not that Ninja Theory cares about what fits Devil May Cry, but it could be important if Capcom tries to make DmC canon )

When I heard about this partly-angel-partly-demon stuff, I was surprised, but never in a negative sense. Thinking about how it will affect the way of battling, it seems rather interesting. Depending on the taste of the player, Dante can adopt between two extremes or mix them up. It seems to spice up the system, and there must be a load of moves and abilities not yet shown in the trailers. Plus, since aerial fighting is in a bigger role in this game than in the previous ones judging by the trailers, angel powers seem to fit to that battling style.
