Pre-Order Videos!

i pre-ordered the best buy one and gamestop one..
so all i need is amazon's gold.. but im waiting for a limited edition so i can get that last one..

I didn't like the weapon skins, which is good since I'll probably be unable to grab any of them lol

The samurai one was kinda cool though

I hope I can get it day one from PSN as I did with RE6.

I just gotta say the gameplay looks sweet and pretty fast paced in this one. I still don't see this so called slow paced, sluggish nonsense they seem to keep complaining about. It looks about as fast as DMC4 and DMC3(when I play it).

Yeah, Darksiders' combat is pretty face paced, too bad it's a bit on the repetitive side.

Yeah I find the lack of variety too a bit what puts Darksiders down compared to DMC, Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta, and even God of War but for a 30 fps game it plays faster on the console than DMC4 & Bayonetta (60 fps games).

Even this game has potential and I think this game too runs on 30 fps.

Darksiders II's combat is pretty godlike though, I think it's already better than God of War, too bad the rest of the game doesn't live up to the combat, and combat sections are not that frequent to be enough reason to play the whole game again and again. There is the Crucible, but the level system makes it so you have to play through the campaign even if you don't like it and just want to fight on the Crucible.

Fps have nothing to do with speed though... it has to do with smoothness, which is something totally different. Like, for example, if I dropped DMC4 to 30 fps, the gameplay will be just as fast but would look odd sometimes because the game was made to run at 60 and you are literally cutting 30 frames of animation. To put it in a more exaggerated version, I can make DMC4 drop to 2 fps and keep the speed the same.... though the only thing you will see on the screen would be a picture of Dante starting an attack and then another one of him finishing it, lol, the attack happens at the same speed, you just can't see any of it.

Darksiders2's combat was much better than 1. But it was rather simplistic and the leveling up system sort of took away all requirements to truly master it. I played in Apocalyptic mode and there was no enemy in the world that could beat me once I was like level 15 or so... I could just mash as much as I wanted and kill enemies in two hits or so.... nvm combo anything.

agreed i dont really see the point of preordering this just for the extra stufff
It's to get extra stuff for pre-ordering. Lol
It's just a little reward for those that take interest in the game and pre-order just like any other game where you get a pre-order bonus.

No a pre-order bonus is a gimmick they use to have an higher ensure rate for someone purchasing their product rather than renting it, borrowing it, or waiting for a price drop.

Marketing gimmick yes, but my point still remains that is just something extra for the people that pre-order the game.

my point is preordering only appeals to me for competitive reasons like being the first to master the game out of all my freinds
