Original Devil May Cry to return..... probably

Which Hideki are you talking about...Kamiya or Itsuno? Cause Itsuno the current director of DMC is still there working for Capcom, even giving Ninja Theory guidance.

he probably is talking about kamiya. but even if kamiya comes back hes right it would make no difference unless kamiya decided to do a reboot totally ignoring dmc 2,3 and 4 and make a sequel for devil may cry that was his own vision of it,but i highly doubt that'll happen

Hideki Kamiya or Platinum games going back to Capcom(with Platinum already making a big name for themselves & Capcom's current bad reputation) is very unlikely but them making a game for Capcom...is still likely(first Sega, then Konami, & now Nintendo)...them making a DMC game....is still possible even if they formed a partnership with Capcom....but them making an alternate DMC game that ignores 2 & 4(maybe not 3 since it happened before 1 & I think Kamiya actually liked the story for that game.....how could he not...it really adds well to his story..whereas 4 can be removed & 2 was a large sh*t stain....okay maybe a bit too harsh) so it strives off making an alternate timeline where the events of DMC4 & DMC2 never happened but new stuff happened...its the least likely situation then that means Capcom will have to handle 3 different DMC series at once(hell it could make DMC into a very long running hack & slash series)..or a DMC game by Platinum could just be a one-hit wonder possibly never getting a sequel.......like Bayonetta.

Itsuno's last name is Hideaki, not Hideki.

But that would be impossible since DMC has already covered a majority of his life.

Ah, I can definitely see the Pat/Kyrie mix. Though, I have the sense that Trish and Lucia are going to be their own unique characters. Or they could fuse Trish, Lucia, and Lady to make a new Lady.

I just wanna know if Lilith's & Mundus's baby will be born, who is it(I've been hearing Nero, Trish), & what will happen to it(if its Trish...which I'm rooting for...I hope she doesn't die but if she does at least Mundus kills her & not Dante....that would **** me off...but if Trish or even Nero...I hope she joins Dante's entourage at the end).

Well, to try to go from the ages of previous characters, logic would dictate that the baby would be either Nero or Lucia. It won't be Trish nor Lady because they are close to Dante in age.

Wasn't Trish some random demon that was created out of thin air so she doesn't have a specific age.
 
I meant Itsuno. I was referencing the quote in the first post of this thread. I mean, he is the current director. I don't see Kamiya as a god like some people here might. He created DMC 1. Itsuno directed 2, 3, 4, and partly DmC.

Anyway, anyway. Itsuno isn't Capcom. He can say that he might go back, but he's also omitting the fact that he has bosses who might not want to go back. Besides, it's a huge waste of money. And with DmC 2 already in the works...

Hey they never said that DmC2 was already in the works especially when DmC isn't already completed yet.

Itsuno still works for Capcom & Capcom even Itsuno said that they're continuing the original DMC...they just used NT to make DmC so Itsuno can help make Dragon's Dogma as Capcom's attempt to create a new successful IP that is a rather new genre for Capcom that mimics free world adventuring RPG like Elder Scrolls. With Dragon's Dogma 2 in the works now its unknown when Itsuno will make another DMC title....but Dragon's Dogma 2 might come out in 2013...with a new DMC game in 2014....possibly using materials they picked up from Dragon's Dogma & DmC. Meanwhile til that happened we'll probably get DmC2 to stall til then.
 
they should return to the original devil may cry, the characters and the world they lived in was way better, but keep going the same way on the fast extreme action gameplay.

I disagree as all we know are 4 disconnected days spread out across his life and we dont have a good idea of what happened in the time between.

im not against doing more young Dante cause i feel he's much more interesting than old Dante but for the sake of Classic DMC we should go forward and attempt to fix things.

Problem with jumping around arbitrarily in a timeline is that its a sign that you dont know where your going which is a problem with DMC proper. Kobayashi did the stupid thing and jump forward so i think we should stay and fix it because jumping back would be stupid.

I rather they just not fuse all three into one, that feels too patchy for me.
