Now to tell you why the 90s are much cooler

your argument is god damn invalid
Hell YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
TOPIC: Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, I LOVE Classic Dante!!!

When someone say's 70's i think John Travolta/Saturday Night Fever/Platform boots.

The Punk era didn't die out. Punks are Punks like goths are goths, they're still around.
New Dante's design isn't 70's design, it's a punk design.

When i think of old Dante, his design reminded me of Duran Duran, but not 80's... 2004 when they released the album Astronaut.

As a huge fan of rock music, yes i do agree that punk rock is indeed cool
However,i like what i like.
Despite being outdated,i still like the original dante.
I'm also starting to grow to like izaya whenever i watched the special TGS trailer.

Still refering him to Izaya, I see.

Well by nature them doing the 70's feels weird as aren't they trying to be contemporary and such?

just felt it a little odd.

I see it in the gameplay, but I'm not getting DMC in the backgrounds at all. That isn't a bad thing because some of the locations look pretty cool. But I don't get DMC from it at all. Why, where do you see the similarities?

EDIT: And how is new Dante recognizable as a Dante at all? When I first saw him I thought he was a new character.
I think it fits background as well. DMC is known for its unique environments, and DmC with the whole Limbo City aspect is very unique.

the limbo city aspect is very unique ill agree on that but like meg said the environment just isnt like the old DMC its very colourfull where as all previous dmc tittles had very dark environments although it does look pretty good dosent feel like the old dmc

DMC4 was pretty colorful, and thats because Nero was traveling everywhere and settings kept changing for no apparent reason. When Nero is in town, its very colorful, more colorful than Limbo is when Dante isn't being attacked by Demons. It actually resembles DMC2 when Dante is walking around with that hooded girl. Except there is something happening in the background the entire time.
I like that Limbo city changes, and not just to brighter colors (which i think is more psychedelic than anything) it changes shape too. My favorite level designs in previous DMC's is when the walls were all tilted side ways and were covered with demonic s**t as soon as you started to get deep into the game. (or inside a giant whale lizard fish thing) All the other levels were pretty bland and it was easy to get lost in. I want to see how trippy Limbo can really get. I want to see something evil:devil: something worthy of an M rating. Not just the formal sword stab in the chest. (I would like to see neoDante come to realization that he has ridiculous healing powers. That could change is attitude as well)

And again with the neoDante. I'm not alone :,D

But (as this is the real reason why I'm quoting you), I want to see some dark and disturbing crap going down in Limbo City. Maybe a Hell level where it really is hell and there are rivers of blood and ooze and the demons are disturbing enough to make Pyramid Head pee his cloth.
And I want to see heaven be twisted as well. I don't know how you can twist it, but I want to see that.

I also think that Limbo's bright color scheme is supposed to be ironic. Maybe they're trying to make the demons more demonic and dark when they're compared to the bright reds and yellows of Limbo City.

Its the complete opposite of the "real" world. Which is blant, grey colors and very systematic. When Limbo changes or "Malice" finds neoDante, everything changes and its like the world is spinning too.

Well if you look at it that way...yeah, that's true.
And if we bring in the punk thing, and I'll be using London as a reference point here, the normal, systematic world is bleak, much like how London was around when the Sex Pistols came about, and the demon's realm, "Malice", represents the world of the anarchist, that, while destructive and violent, is much more beautiful than the real world.
I know the game's not philosophical, but I'm looking at it that way xD
