i used to enjoy these forums discussing the game and such then the reboot came out im not blaming the reboot it tottaly deserves those 9/10 reviews what im upset about is that there so many threads ranting about a single element of the game story or even concept art

so i''m going to say this and make it clear

IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE GAME OR HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT THE BEST THING TO DO IS EXPLAIN IN A DECENT WAY INSTEAD OF THINGS LIKE..... **** you new Dante old Dante kicks your ass or this part of the story does not make sense instead of asking about it reasonably i'm gonna say the game sucks


how about instead of being a pain you guys all just be reasonable about how you explain your problems
there some antis here that i RESPECT because they know how to explain their problems without being a pain

and no i don't care WHAT you say about this post report it try to ban me or do yourself what you think is a favor and quote my post and underline the smallest spelling mistake and then say my opinion is wring because its different from yours.
 
I will tell you the same as I have told everyone else... This is useless. There will always be stupid skeptics/antis and there will always be stupid supporters. They won't listen to any reason, because they are enjoying this constant ranting on the forums and they do as they please.

Though I support this notion of yours, it's just not going to happen.

agreed.

This works both ways sadly, I have seen "antis" and "supporters" both draw "battle lines" around the forum so to speak.

The antis with the attitude you explained, and the supporters with a bad attitude of attacking any negativity towards this game whether its respectful or explained in a calm manner.

This just doesn't seem like something that is going to go away.

I honestly think some of the members on here who are more 'inflammatory' with their posts do not understand how they are appearing to other members. They honestly think they are having a discussion, but really are just upsetting or irritating other members.
Then there are members that insidiously bait other members with sly comments and veiled insults. Liking or disliking something which does not agree with another's likes/dislikes does not make a person a 'moron' or warrent 'pity' for liking something.
I just don't get people like that. :/ Is life so bad that they have to troll and inflate their ego in a virtual world....
 
ToCool74 is right. It goes both ways.
Making these threads are useless and will only lead to more arguing.
 
Oh you've got to be kidding me you know how many people I see insulting each other both pro's and anti's. No one is perfect so these kind of things annoy you? I get annoyed by alot of what people do here too, i would say keep to yourself but that apparently never works.

Sadly you are correct, it's a shame that we can not have normal discussion on good or bad things about the game without people derailing it with blind hated or support. It's likely not ever going to go away but I think in a while it will die down to some degree.
 
The only solution is to have a forum that has a high standard of maturity, and frequent penalties for becoming unruly. The only problem there is that it would be a very scary place to be, since you'd always feel like you're walking on eggshells.

So, a few outbursts and irrational comments here and there aren't so bad. I think that, after a few months, the dust will settle and people won't whine quite as much since they'll realize it's all been said before and it's kind of useless. Then again, there are people like egoraptor who brutally criticize games decades after they're released, so we'll see how it goes. I think we just need more threads with a positive or neutral premise, rather than all these threads whose main topic is how the game doesn't meet someone's standards.

I wouldn't want to have a forum where if a tiny thing upset one person, then its a ban.

I'm hoping it will settle down. Maybe some will move on to other 'interests'.

I don't mind if someone says the game is 'not for them' or not their thing, and they talk about it with maturity, but to insult other people for liking it is ridiculous.
It works both ways. If someone talks with maturity about why they do not like the game, don't insult them.

Just a classic example of why this topic will not help and why this problem isn't going away anytime soon.
 
Downfall, you are really starting to give supporters a bad name. You are one of the people on here who are being a bad apple on the supporter side.
