nVidia introduces the 1000 series

nVidia have finally announced the next generation of GeForce video cards, known as the GeForce 1000 series. They will be powered by the company’s new Pascal architecture and built on TSMC’s 16nm FinFET process, nVidia is promising that the 1000 series will set a new high bar for performance and efficiency while also offering a collection of new features to further set it apart from its predecessors.

The prices that have been stated seem very reasonable too (though no doubt the UK will be ripped off as always).

I think Nvidia is doing a great job at making fast cards at reasonable prices and low consumption. Something that started with their GTX 750 Ti, and they're now carrying on that philosophy.

Be interesting to see what price point is in the UK because I cant see them being £241 ($349) for 1070 and £415 ($599) for 1080 here. Rumours are saying it will retail for around £270 but I cant see that to be honest. I mean I paid around £240 for my GTX 970 a couple of months ago so cant see something with this power being around the same price. The GTX980Ti is still around £539 and according to the specs this is more powerful than that too as well as the Titan X which retails for close to £1000. The power consumption for cards with this sort of power is insanely low. :jawdrop:

Seriously , I read some week ago that a Gtx 1070 and a Titan x have same potential , but the 1070 needs less elettric power.
If I have money , I will buy two 1070.

Pretty much & shows how overpriced the TitanX was.

A little over the odds based on the exchange rate but for that power for that price you can't argue really.
