I don't have a link or anything on it, and I don't know if this is old or not, but I figured I'd show it since I saw it on tumblr.

Take from it what you will.

Y'know, despite the heavy hatred NT gets for making DmC, I could only imagine how much pressure and **** throwing they had to ignore just to make this game. And despite me not enjoying it for the most part, I won't deny that there was a lot of care put into making it from the areas shifting, to the color palate.

Though I don't like Tameen, I will admit he was really put through the wringer but still came out alive with DmC selling 1.2 million copies, which is a lot to NT.

Is that a sign of gained respect for Tameem I'm reading?

Ironic he refers to it as an re-imagining and not a reboot. I guess what that one reviewer said was probably right: that this was just an experiment by Capcom to show us what a more western centric version of Devil May Cry would/could look like.

Also, are all those people in the image workers at Ninja Theory as well?

I will say that Ninja Theory are talented developers. I think that they did a great job on taking a series, and giving it a new skin. Although, I still prefer the older games. I think that NT did the best with what they had. The Reboot could have been terrible, and instead we got a enjoyable alternative . It's disappoints me that some people can unfairly judge NT, just because of their preconceived opinions.

hmmmm.. I thought i'd be sensing hate and politics here so far. (maybe later on, i guess.) But, i guess it all boils down to Capcom calling all the shots here. Even with the style and concept. Maybe if they asked NT to collaborate with them fully to make DMC5, Tameem wouldnt mind. so, Can't really blame Tameem and NT for all these. but, despite all its flaws, DmC still proves to have its charms. Wish a lot of the people would set aside its biases and give it a chance. Anyway, respect to NT to actually pour sweat and tears in this one.

The amount of hate this guy got was INSANE. As a long time DMC fan I was also pretty displeased with the first reveal, and thought Ninja Theory always had trouble coming up with engaging gameplay to complement the art direction and acting performances, and I was pretty vocal about it. But the fan rage was just mind blowing, beyond anything I could've mustered.

You'd have think he was Ed Gein or something from the way vocal fans went on about this whole affair. Every single thing he said was quoted and misinterpreted to oblivion, used to find more ammuntion to somehow prove Tameem was an abomination and pestilence incarnate, for working on a video game.

Probably one of the worst vitriol cases I've seen in the gaming community in general.

Oh, and hai everyone, I'll just return to silently lurking like I did for the last decade =)

Yup people are unfair.. we do have right of speech, but this was blown out of proportion. it's good it hasnt actually come to point where people actually gone up to NT studios with torches and throwable bricks, coz i wouldve gone to NT's full defense if that happened.

although i really do think taneem dicked all over the original series during the promotion of DmC, i never really thought that he felt that way. he was just trying to appeal to what he believed the masses thought.
but that aside, i really do respect the **** outta him. do you know how cruel and ruthless fan bases can be? so that alone, anyone who is willing to scrap the originals and take the heat from the fans earns my respect. however, i can see how taneem and ninja theory altered DmC from what it was going to be and what we ended up getting. and a lot of that falls under trying to please the fan base while still keeping on with their original vision. i really do wish they just went balls out and did exactly what they wanted to do
