Ninja Theory is Rumored To Reboot Onimusha

1. How exactly does Nero qualify as "angsty". He was a bit emotional about the girl he loves being kidnapped but he didn't sit there and whine about it. He does something about it. Having human emotions doesn't make someone "angsty".
2. He is obviously not 13 years old.

Not liking a character doesn't mean you can't try to describe him accurately.

Exactly.

A lot of people think he's angsty just because he's trying to save Kyrie and he becomes emotional because of it. From what I can tell, he's just anti social (like I said earlier). And the only one he sorta opened up to was Dante near the end of the game.

And as darkslayer13 said, he actually did something about the situation.
He cried, picked himself up, and moved on to save Kyrie. That's about it.

actually he spends about a mission or two just whining about it without any particular goal he just kinda killed demons in a rage. Then he attacked Dante who didn't actually show any aggression towards him in his anger then immediately got himself captured by the enemy. Now angst is defined as stress, he spends 3 or 4 missions just being angst y about his girlfriend (who by the way was little more then a object for him to pursue since I can't really remember speaking much beyond saying Nero and maybe having a line here and there.) He then left Dante to pick up all he pieces since he didn't actually destroy any of the portals and only killed one of the bosses and it was a underling. The entire first half is Nero being a uninteresting and later on a angst y devil hunter and the second half is just Dante cleaning up his mess and doing everything Nero should have done on his first run through the campaign.

He cried, angry raged and killed demon's without any particular goal, had to be calmed down by Dante before he got himself killed by being reckless, and then he TRIED to do something about the situation but got captured by the enemy immediately.

1) Yes, he did cry an raged. But what does "killing demons without any particular goal" has to do with anything? He killed them because they were in his way. Not because he had no reason to.

2) He was initially angry at Dante because he was about to cause harm to Kyrie in the beginning, as well as killing Sanctus before that. His mission was to follow Dante and kill him. That is why he was angry at him in the beginning.

3) He didn't get "reckless". He was about to finish the job until Sanctus pulled a classic move by bringing Kyrie in the fight, which then cause Nero to hesitate and get caught.

I don't remember him whining for no particular reason during his missions about Kyrie. The only times I see him talking about her is when he talks to Credo, Agnus, and Sanctus. If so, you're gonna have to provide examples.

I'm pretty sure he didn't destroy the hellgates because that wasn't his main objective. It's still sloppy on his part though.

As for you not thinking he's an uninteresting character, it just sounds like you personally don't like him, which is fine. But not liking him is completely different than describing his personality and motives incorrectly.
It's alright if you didn't like him, no one will think any less of you because of that. But it sounds as if you are only complaining about his "angst" when is quite obvious he is going through major stress having his girlfriend taken from him by people he trusted as well as being hunted down/almost killed multiple times.

It's not like he's strolling through Fortuna complaining about nothing. He has legit reasons for being upset. If someone you trusted/looked up to suddenly used you and took the one person in your life that meant something to you, you'd be upset yourself.

You are correct I personally just don't like him which does make me bias. I will argue that he was being reckless since Dante had the whole fighting it ending with "have you cooled off yet kid?" showing that he was at a point that Dante saw fit to calm him down in case he did do something reckless. I personally acknowledge that you like the character and our opinions differ which cause my negative bias against him. While I will concede he may not be incredibly angst y as I made him out to be I personally stand by my point that I dislike his character and am uninterested in his origins. I hope that they continue both canon's so you can see more of him though and apologize if I offended you.

No need to apologize, you have no reason to.

I completely understand why people don't like Nero in DMC4 though. He was a new character that basically replaced Dante in the beginning of the game. Everyone basically wanted Dante when they were forced to play as Nero. And then when you actually played with Dante, you basically replayed Nero's missions.

But again, you don't need to apologize at all. Just try to think rationally when you're debating about something you don't like in a reasonable manner. And it's good you learned from the debate too, along with taking it well instead of saying "NO THIS IS MY OPINION!!! SCREW U!!!" lol

I just apologised because you seemed to really like the character and I didn't wanna offend you because in contrast to THIS IS MY OPINION SCREW U I wasn't sure if you were going to say ASSHOLE NERO IS BEST CHARACTA EVA SHUT UP so that's why I apologized.
