Here are some movies that remind me of DmC

Heartless:
Heartlesspost.jpg

It's a movie about a photographer man who's haunted by demons and only he can see them for what they are. They killed his mother and now he wants revenge.

Hancock
220px-Hancockposter.jpg

This movie is about a superhero who's homeless, lives in a trailer, and has incredible power, but refuses to except them, and really just acts like an asshole the entire movie, and no one loves him. A business man decides to help him and try to change him into becoming a great hero everyone will call for help. Hancock's kind of like a rebooted superman. Just a bit poor and swears more. (Sound familiar?)

They Live

I've never seen the movie, but yeah, there's this element in it too. apparently this guys sees what the world really is.

Rebel without a cause
Rebel_without_a_cause432.jpg

It's a story about Jim qho is forced into a world he wasn't trying to get into. He feels like a rebel in his world and takes part in dangerous things, all while trying to understand what his purpose in life is.

These are those moves^_^

I remember Tameem and Greg talking about how Dante had a very "James Dean-like" attitude about him :p

Nah. It will be the haters who will need to prepare their shields.

Not even they will still complain and talk down on the game as if they have standards higher than anything this worlds has known. As if DMC 3-4 is at the pedestal of what gaming should be all about. Its so obnoxious reading this high and mighty comments

Well, for them DMC3 is the pinnacle of hack and slash gaming, and I would probably agree, but that doesn't mean DmC can't be a great game in its own way. I don't put much stock in "better than DMC3" or "best DMC to date!" I just care about it being a great, well-functioning game. I don't need this to surpass DMC3 - if it does in my eyes, then that's great, if not, that's okay too.

For years I've just played games for fun. That's all that mattered of course as I grew older so did my standards but I still wanted fun. I out grew DMC 3 years after it came out, yes it was awesome but I want something new for once. DMC 4 let down in all ways but with DmC I see promise I see something the same yet something new. I cant wait for the demo next week (though ill be out of town but imma try!) I just want a fun game and I'm not going to sit here and up my standards as a fan as if the game I love is better than anything this world has known. I didn't do that with metal gear I didn't do that with sonic and I wont do that with DmC.
This game looks like a crap ton of fun and I want it too to be a worth while purchase. Games were always about fun and enjoying the experience. Not acting like a rebel because a company decided to try something different with there game. Or worshiping an online freelance journalist(and/or)podcaster as if he is the god who knows all. My open mindedness and opinion drove me to like this game.

Good thing that this game wont turn out like the scar that was Sonic '06.........why

This is what I think as well, combatwise I'm 100% positive that this will not be anywhere as good as DMC3 and 4, but if it's good and have more depth than most action games (and I believe it will), I'll gladly buy and play it. I'm excited to see what NT brings up to the table, and if the combat is fun, there's no reason for me not to play it. I don't care about the series that much to boycott a game I like just because I'm afraid it could mean the end of DMC. I still play DMC4, and if the PC version of DMC3 was good I'd still play it as well. If DmC doesn't hold up and they don't bring back DMC (or at least develop DmC 2 by themselves), I'll just go back to DMC4 after I get bored with DmC...

If a game that is more than 7 years old what they say is the best...then I think they haven't just played much games....in my opinion that is.

Am I the only one that thinks DmC has the potential to be better than DMC3 and DMC4?
I mean think about it. This game will have just as much, if not more combo potential than either game.
In DMC3 you could only have up to 4 weapons at one time (2 guns and 2 melee weapons) therefore you could only make combos based upon those 4 weapons and which ever style you chose. Speaking of, you had to choose your style so therefore you could only utilize a certain asset of moves, so one style and 4 weapons at once. (As well as advanced techniques such as jump canceling)
In DMC4 (as Dante) you had six weapons and 5 styles. This definitely upped the ante since you could now utilize all moves on your styles and you had six weapons to play around with. Huge combo potential to say the least.
But now in DmC most of the style functiones are streamlined into combinations you have at all times. And you can switch between 8 weapons (from what we've seen so far) on the fly. So just like DMC4 this is alot of combo potential, and each weapon in DmC has alot of moves from looking at the movelists.
The only thing as of now that DMC3 and DMC4 have over DmC is Royal Guard, so therefore you won't be able to block or do advanced techniques involving Royal guard (such as Guard canceling).
So seriously DmC has alot of potential that people are totally overlooking. I think even some of the pros will be surprised once this game comes out.

DMC3 was released in 2005 and DMC4 in 2007... and well I'm not going to count DMC4 because most of it was a lazy re-hash of DMC3 anyway.

Will DmC top DMC3? Maybe, I hope so. DMC3 came out almost seven years ago. By most account it's been surpassed by Bayonetta; but other than that nothing really stands out. DMC3 will not remain the staple of which combo-based action games are judged for much longer; and I personally would be quite happy if another Devil May Cry is the game to take that title from it.

Yeah. almost was having fun with it until he went "DMC 4 was rubbish". Clearly, he has under-estimated the potential of DMC 4. Why can't people jus look up youtube or any other source that can backup their statements about a game. Its been like 4 years since the game came out and people still bitch about it as if it did meet the expectations.

When DMC 3 became a success, there were tons of gamers that tapped the potential of this game and uploaded it on youtube. Me, being a follower since 2006, totally followed these videos and understood wat the game is about. Its not totally fiction based like Resident evil but its appeal is in its gameplay. So capcom created new gameplay of pulling characters as opposed to dante's style where a heavy attack would displace the enemy to another location and built a story around it. In fact , itsuno commented on an interview that they had plans of gameplay which they did not include in their games cuz the hardware could not support or fully meet the gameplay requierements. So i would assume that nero's gameplay was already in development before DMC 4 and found consoles like PS3 and XBOX360 could set this idea in motion. We also had dante in the game cuz there would be too many dante fans that would be disappointed if he was not in the game. Believe me, I was there when everyone made demands of a vergil game. Many believed that vergil ended up the way he was because of the guilt that he could not protect his mother from the demons. People were so passionate about "protection" fiction. It was all over the forums with vergil on it. And we got a new character nero who also wanted to protect kyrie. So, as a follower of the series, I do find DMC 4 as a good sequel to DMC 3 and was about wat fans wanted. If anyone does not find DMC 4 as a worthy sequel, clearly they have not been following the series on forums or any other media that capcom can actually know wat they wanted.

And wat's more ironic is that people are all up in arms with a game that has not even been released and are ditching games(DMC 4) that actually concentrated on gameplay than fictional plot holes. If fiction is wat people prefer, they should really follow Resident Evil. Fictions was not so damaged in DMC 4(Except for plot holes which already existed like vergil was never confirmed to be dead and fans believed he could re-appear in sequels) but had an anime feel to it cuz when i was active in DMC fan forums like sonsofsparda.com, everyone were anime lovers and we had more discussions about anime than the series themselves.

This game may meet the expectations but did not get hopes high of fans some 3 years back but even if does, i still think older games did meet their times and ditching them is totally uncalled for and inappropriate.
