It's an interesting question, in film female nudity doesn't automaticly give you an R rating but male nudity does. Watchmen had a big blue d*ck and people were all 'ewwwwww' over it. Dudes have d*cks, is a fact of life, no one is denying it, but that wasn't the intention here, now was it, it was comedy. I've taken a fair share of anathomy classes and been to a few strip joints in my time, nudity, of ether gender, stop bethering me a long while back so it's not the naked zero g that is the issue, it's the silyness of it all.

Trish is such a cardboard cutout video game chick. she was created by the most powerful to challenge the most powerful and given everything she has on a plate. She switches sides on a whim and has a paper thin personality. She easily pals around with Dante. Lady is more driven, harder to get, works harder for what she wants, has the scars to prove her dedication and is a normal human capable of hanging with the best. I loooove a hard working talented woman over a Glorified (See what I did there) manufactured bombshell.

I don't freaking care, I find Trish to be alot more awesome and sexy than any of the other Devil May Cry chicks.

I think it's just that society here has become more accustomed to female nudity than male nudity which is still taboo. Some day it'll be as normal as female nudity, I suppose. In the 40s and 50s in films even married husband-and-wife characters never had anything more than kissing scenes, showing leg was *too* risque, and I think if a husband and wife were in a bedroom, showing both of them even sitting *on* a bed fully clothed and talking to each other wasn't allowed, it was just too suggestive to people back then. If you watch any old movies like that ever I think they really do always make sure if someone is sitting on a bed then the other one is standing, lol. It took till the 70s for nudity to become 'allowed' and then they went a bit overboard with it in some places.

People'll get over it eventually.

I personally don't like pointless nudity in films and games. If there's a fair reason/plot reason for it then fine, but shoving it in there just for shock value I don't like.
 
Maybe, but you can never guess how things will go. In ancient Greece nudity was the norm yet two thousand years of progress later and penises are the devil so you never really know.

Fair enough. There is nothing that appeals to you here, there isn't enough to appeal to me ether, and if you've made up your mind it is your money. I said to give it a bit of time since the game comes out his year the media releases would be pouring in like crazy and you might find something as the story unwrables.

If things keep progressing the way they are now, I'd expect more tolerance of male nudity in future; but you're correct, if some new social or perhaps religious obsession or taboo appeared we could all go back to being completely ashamed of ourselves.

I hope there's a balance. I hope we're not bombarded with it if we don't want to be, but also I hope we're not lynched for it.
 
Just want to set the record straight, I'm against the nudity not because I find it "offensive" or "nasty" or whatever...


I'm against It because it feels like NT is trying to force the "edgy angle".

As I said before, just having this Dante cursing up a storm and flicking people off his edgy enough, I just did not think the nudity was even needed and thus felt it was "out of place" and "forced".

Just my opinion of course.
 
I don't know why, but when i first heard 'westernised' i thought "nudity"... i just didn't think it would be Dante...

A pizza slice? That's what that was... the picture was too blurry anyway.
