I thought Dante said "Beth" lol
The sound of the weapon is fine to me, its actually sounds like its not a clean hit, which adds to Dante not having his sword skills refined yet. Same with Ebony and Ivory. The bullets have a more aggressive sound and they ricochet all over the place.
And I don't know for sure but the very first thing Dante did was an "enemy step" after he pulled the enemy in. Don't know for sure if you can jump cancel but I never cared for that anyways. Also the Ax has improved so much from the past. The range is ridiculous with the whip and the ground tremor and whatever Dante shot out of it, while in the air @ 1:40. Then he actually did an "air evade"
And for 30fps, the speed is not terribly slow, its quite fast actually. I slowed down the combat just to see everything that was happening and i missed a lot of things.
The gameplay looks so much fun too!!
The whip is also looking good. Compared to Nero, i wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless i had a side by side comparison, and i dont think it would be a huge difference. And after Dante whips an enemy close, depending on when he swings his sword, thats when i see the most hand to hand combat. If you whip an enemy and do not attack, Dante will throw an elbow at them or a shoulder. If Dante swings while the enemy is in the process of flying towards him, he'll begin the combo, kinda like a slow ball pitch to on coming traffic. Which is basically what Nero does.
