That what it seems like. This might be what capcom thinks, but in reality, There are plenty of Nero fans. This thread is just a small example. (I being one of them.)
I compleatly agree with the emo part though.
I meant to give a reason why people in the thread chose DmC Dante over nero, I'm not attempting to speak for people outside
the thread.
I felt the main problem with nero was that he was meant to be a Dante-lite character who can be given character development or moments of humanity that Dante can't do because the development team thinks it makes him less cool.
So NT is focused on making him a better character so nero feels redundant and shouldn't necessarily appear in the reboot. He could but he would have to be retooled so he doesn't suffer from the same problems as the old one did but then you could just make a new character.
