More Gameplay!!

I don't know, this is a mystery indeed. Here comes the dreaded line. "I guess we'll have to wait and see"...

The slowdown when he rolls away from the last attack at end may be because they are trying to cover up frame rate issue?

And the enemies are super easy. Not once did the person get hit.
The scythe looks horrible when attacking except when the enemy is in air and you spin the scythe around making a blue-white circle.

It doesn't look much original to me. Just a game with fancy graphics.

It seems the videos are from the "Invited players".

This might be the only videos the show. Just what was available at TGS. We might have to wait till the Hd collection for more.

I don't think we'll have to wait that long to see something else , probaly in January we will see some more gameplay or trailer.

If you notice now in the trailer, when Dante begins down the path to the fight sequence, his angelic powers do not change his weapon into a sythe, he just gets a blue aura around him.
Maybe the red aura is just the demonic powers selected but the weapon isnt changing.

Can anyone point out all the frame rate drops because I only notice the dodge, and that has little to no concern to me.

Nice find. Good gameplay video, but barely anything new unlike from previous trailers. The only new things I noticed are that Dante seems to have his hands glow when he executed a slow motion dodge roll, an elbow strike, and he is able to use a powerful ground pound attack from the air like one of Gilgamesh's and Beowulf's attack. It seems that slow motion dodge roll is intentional, perhaps to show it is a perfect timed dodge roll that allows Dante to boost his attack power.

Unfortunately, the enemies' AI are still dumb, and took quite some time just to swing the weapon at Dante. The player can just simply dodge away when seeing the enemies took attacking stance. Glad to see some of DMC moves are shown in the video, namely Over Drive and Prop Shredder.

They seriously have to make a video about the player getting his/her butt handed to them. I want to see them display a new enemy already. I WANT TO SEE DANTE GET KILLED OVER AND OVER LIKE IN THE DARK SOULS TRAILERS (amazing game, by the way. I highly recommend it.) The only thing that will totally convince me to get this game at almost full price (used games!) is if they make this game at least challenging, if not totally brutal.

Well since we haven't seen a health bar yet we dont how much damage enemies do maybe u die in 3 or 4 hits like DMC 3 when u start. Also when it comes to difficulty does anyone thing that the city will be more aggressive or deadly on higher difficulty levels since its out to get dante like maybe a few more places to fall, spikes or even enemies getting in your way you know things like that.

:eek:I hope so! I like my games challenging, in case if anyone didn't notice ;)

I think it would actually make the whole "the city is out to get you" thing more significant and give u a reason to play the higher difficulties since you will still have that thrill of what going to happen next type thing.

Its got to be at least as hard as dmc3. But because there is the platforming parts in the game, I hope not very hard at first because with platforming, you'll have more oppurtunities to die.

I think platforming is amazing but at end of day i don't go up at top of highest point in AC, and jump down tons of time.
I don't go up to highest point in Infamous, and jump down and create a shockwave.

So the platforming in DmC to me is like when discussing a subject then a participant says something completely random that has nothing to do with what is being discuessed. To illustrate further i got a great idea for angel and demonic powerups of DmC Dante "Love and Anger".
But how must one go around to implent such idea into a hack and slash like DMC, and it not being useless. Just because you see something new like platforming in DmC does not mean it's innovating. Innovation MUST be when you add a idea into a DMC game that has never been there before, and that this idea makes the gameplay alot nicer!

LOVE AND ANGER (Demon & Angel):
I guess you could make it so that if you finish off the demons fast you show them love (mercy), and on other hand if you slowly kill them you will be evil and malicious (anger).

Whichever style you do decides if you go Angel form or Demon form.
However, if you implented this into gameplay in a testing phase, and you found out "This is bad for DMC gameplay" then you have to keep working on it til it no longer is a disadvantage to gameplay.

hmmmm...that would be very unique and i think i would like that. it would be innovative, and it would give the player choices and replay value. it would be like an rpg kind of element without affecting gameplay in a negative way, i think i would like this :)

Glad you liked it. But don't go telling Ninja theory. DmC is getting near end, and such idea that i suggest is very hard to tackle. And if you suggest ideas this late it will most likely just distract NT's own ideas progress.

To add on the idea i talked about:
If you were being merciful (love = angel form) then demons would spawn very fast. The idea behind fast spawning with angel form is to not stop players from making combos (DMC is alot about combos!).

Where as if you kill them slowly demons spawns will be usual. Slow attacks could be low damaging as well.

Platforming may not be a huge draw to people who olay hack and slash games, but id rather have some other challenge other than just walking.

You can play AC however you want, thats the purpose of a sandbox game

trust me i wouldn't tell ninja theory to do that, because i hate when fans interfere with the original vision of the company's, for example everyone's backlash on dante not having white hair, so ninja theory and capcom tried to please the fans by putting it in the game.

That's a good thing to think off. And we are no longer in a early phase for DmC.
Early phase = best time to get input from fans.

Late phase = lockdown !!! lol

One thing that annoys me with these new trailers is the fact that they are STILL only showing us gameplay on the old levels that was shown a while back.

The same old bright azz stages that gameplay was already shown on.

I just wish they would show us more gameplay on a different (and preferably) DARKER level.

Why haven't they shown more gameplay on the dark carnival stage that was revealed not to long ago?

And as it was also pointed out there are still no red orbs or heath bars.

And the enemies STILL look pretty darn easy to beat.

Overall, not a great trailer by any means. NT just took a step back with this trailer I'm afraid. Hopefully they can show some improvement in the next trailer.
