So, I ask to be 100% sure: This patch is only for the PC-version, right? If I boot up my DmC on PS3, I will not get it, right?
We're assuming the console patches will come out a little later, because they have to be approved by Microsoft and Sony respectively. Steam is much easier to patch with.
Thank you for your answer. By the way, are the PlayStation patches something that you have to intentionally download and install or do they do that automatically? (I'm rather new to these things, because I just connected my PS3 to the net and have no idea how the stuff works).
Probably texture and sound glitches as well. Also, 1.6 gig update? That has to be for much more than a simple style patching.
If you have a PSN account (must be signed into the PSN to update games) and boot up the game, it will ask you to update the game when they release the update.

You'd be amazed about the amount of memory that goes into simple glitch corrections.
Yup, I made an account for myself. Can I refuse to update the game or is the update forced on me?
Some games force you to update to play.
wellif you dont want to download it simply disconnect your ps3 from the internetGah, dammit! Well, I hope DmC does not. I like to be able to choose myself.
That is not really true since if I got this right, only the rating will drop, not the Style Points themselfs, just like it was in DMC4.When this comes out for the consoles the leaderboards will be meaningless if they are not reset.
Nobody will be able to touch the top spots with the new stye system.

I think that's pretty much it. At least for me.So let me get this straight.
In DMC4 we had this new ranking in the style meter, in which the rating only dropped when out of combat and when taking damage. But that was only true for S ratings and lower, since they each had its own "bar". When it came to SS and SSS ratings, they would drop quickly since they were "inside" the S ranking "bar".
So, there is a patch to the new DmC style system that will make it drop in a similar way? Is that what it is?

...peasants?I hope so. The top scores are reserved for truly stylish players and not peasants who spam Trinity Smash.
