Difficult decision indeed!

On one hand we have Noisia delivering a lovely score accompanying the story, with every high and low emphasised, as well as a brilliant set of themes for menu navigating.

But, on the other we have Combichrist assaulting our ears with a beautiful barrage of combat themes, making even the most minor of encounters that bit more epic. Offering 2 or 3 different songs per level.

So, what do we think?

Well personally, I haven't played the game yet, but I must say Combichrist is the one for me, I just can't play The PS3 without the No Redemption Album, it's EPICNESS I say, EPICNESS!....

As much as I like the soundtrack, I prefer the game's option to play your own tracks in-game. <3 It's especially sweet considering the last time I remember a game letting do this was with Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2.

Combichrist has got some decent tunes. I'm not all about the dubstep on Noisia's end but Combichrist's aggrotech stuff is alright. The song I liked the most on the soundtrack though was Throat Full Of Glass. It sort of had a NIN thing going on.

I still find myself mostly playing my own tunes though more than anything. I do that with every game I play.

Why must you make me choose?!:P I really like both. Noisia do a good job of establishing mood with their track, but I really like Combichrist's Throat full of glass and Never surrender.

Man, I see the value in playing your own soundtrack, but man this game has perfect music its a shame to not experience it as designed. The great thing is that the music increases in intensity as you attain higher ranks, so its only really blaring and hitting you full force if you are at SSS ranking. That's why I am surprised that some of you prefer to listen to your own music.

Also, Lilith's club the audio waves in the background are tuned to the music, its just the total experience.

Usually i dont even like Dubstep but Noisa makes it sound so good. Combichrist is a beast with the combat. Combichrist made Vergils battle theme and Noisa made Liliths club theme. Those are my two favorite songs oh also the hunter theme. So for me its a choice between those two. Gaaaaawd its so hard to choose.

Same. Both bands aren't in genres I usually listen to, but man, this is an example of how to do a video game soundtrack. The music enhances the gameplay, and the gameplay enhances the music. It really is a master class in sound design, the only other person I can think of who nails video game music is Jesper Kyd. I swear every time there is a sequence in a game where the right musical cue plays that just makes it 1000 times I better, its usually because its a track from Jesper kyd.

I mean this song from Darksiders 2, makes the first boss battle go from mediocre to something special and memorable. That's how you do video game music, it really is an art like doing an excellent film score.

I can't say I really cared for the music. I liked some of the more metal like songs but I have never been a fan of dubstep at all.

Hell, I don't even know which band plays which songs in DmC.

Well, I did experience the soundtrack exactly how it was on my first couple of play throughs and for the game the soundtrack works very well for it. It's probably my favorite out of all the Devil May Cry soundtracks because that was mainly some cheesy industrial rock stuck on an infinite loop as if you borrowed an i-pod from the most boring man in the world.
I like the variety in the soundtrack.

That being said it's not just DmC I play my own tunes to. It's pretty much every game I play. I listen to music A LOT so usually when I'm at home just chilling my music is on constantly lol.

So, then why bother to comment? IS their any thread that can discuss something positive about DmC without you guys throwing in your 2 cents. I get it you like nothing about this game. I'm not trying to be combative, I'm being serious.

Imagine if I jumped into every thread about DMC 3 or 4 and did what you just did.

Example

Here, take these hypothetical threads for DMC3/4.

Actual DMC3 thread: Your favourite lines in the game?

My Comment
I can't say I really cared for the writing. I liked some of the less cheesy lines, but I have never been a fan of soap operaish melodrama at all.

Hell, I don't even know which lines didn't make me cringe in DMC3.

DMC 3/4 Thread about FAVORITE BOSS

My comment.
I can't say I really cared for most of the bosses. I liked some of the more zelda like bosses, but I have never been a fan of cheap bosses at all.

Hell, I don't even remember which bosses weren't cheap and when I fought them in DMC 3/4.

DMC 3/4 Thread about FAVORITE LEVEL

My Comment
I can't say I really cared for the levels. I liked some of the less generic Gothic castle like levels, but I have never been a fan of generic dungeon environments at all.

Hell, I don't even know how many levels aren't generic dungeons and which of those levels didn't bore me in DMC 3/4.

DMC 3/4 Thread about FAVORITE COMBO

My Comment
I can't say I really cared for most of the combos. I liked some of the more fighting game like combos, but I have never been a fan of inefficient flashy combos at all.

Hell, I don't even remember which button combinations execute which combos in DMC 3/4.

Does this make sense to you guys? And for those that don't understand, I don't actually believe the hypothetical comments I wrote above. I am merely trying to illustrate to these passive aggressive trolls how their posts come off to the rest of us.

Yeah, I hope it didn't come off combative, it was not meant to be. So, yeah, its totally cool.

So what? I'm not allowed to give my opinion about something? Don't you think things gets a little boring if everyone just agrees on the same thing? This is a forum after all.

And jesus man, you sure like to assume. I have posted before about stuff that I like in DmC. I don't outright hate the game but I just find it lacking compared to DMC3 in certain aspects.

And those examples you just wrote are quite awful.

God, so predictable. I know they're awful, I just made them to show you how your generic passive aggressive negativity towards everything about this game is wearing thin. No one said you couldn't offer your opinion, but its just getting old, that you and your *merry bunch do this bs on every positive thread. It's just a coincidence, and not at all subtle trolling that EVERY POSITIVE THREAD has your opinion and it just happens to be negative. I'm saying how would you feel if I did the same thing on every thread even a thread like the favorite line one for DMC3. Do you think it really adds to the discussion for me to jump in and say meh, I know this thread is about which line you liked, and not a general discussion about the writing, but I"m just gonna say most of the lines sucked. Later.

We're done. I think everyone will see through your nonsense if they haven't already.

* The MERRY Bunch The "We": Terrutas, Marionette Cherry, and Martius. Go check all of Multibro's posts, and just I don't know checkout the likes he receives for every dismissive DMC post. And then I don't know, if I'm wrong, well then you can help me with my "paranoia."

Every thread? "We"? I think you sir are getting a bit paranoid.
