Leaderboard Hackers/Cheaters PS3

Hey guys im new here :)
So anyways I was playing for Leaderboards a few hours ago and I have so much fun trying getting Number 1 on each mission ;)

But suddenly someone hacked the Leaderboards in PS3 he got on all the missions he played 16,777,215 Style points and always a Mission score of 2,147,483,647 (And that under 1 minute) without having everything SSS

And in Total score he got with 4 accounts( I bet its 1 guy becauz he always got the same score)
a minus score that is placed on Number 1 (And a minus score doesnt even excist in the Leaderboards)

So Is there anything we can do about it? Are the developers able to ban those dudes?

Becauz This game is so amazing and Leaderboards are so much fun but right now Those hacker killed the fun for this great game :(

And if your math is right and believe with this score to have a final Mission score of 1.8 billion then your a total retard
 
I've been getting some #1 spots on Xbox for the lols, it really is annoying when people just ruin it all with a bunch of stupid leaderboard hacks. When I'm next on I'll check the Xbox leaderboards to see if it's happened yet.

About them fixing it, It seems unlikely to me. I've seen so many leaderboards flooded with hacked scores so I usually just don't go for any placement. You should send a message directly to NT and see what they say.
 
I'm not too sure why people would care about the hackers. I'd like to believe that NJ checks the leader boards and cleans it up every now and then... but even if they don't , can't you just ignore the hacked scores and negate them from your own rank?
Maybe it's just me, but I'm used to hacked scores... I just ignore them if they're literally impossible to achieve.
 
Having the number 1 spot looks much cooler :) and idk someone who got interest in Leaderboards like me and want to challange other players for the number 1 spot, yeah the hackers ruins this **** in some way.

Having hacked scores on a leaderboard destroys the point of having a top score page. It also makes people not even bother for a high score, further destroying the fun of finding out who can get the highest score globally.
 
I don't understand how I'll have a top 20 spot with a in game score of 500k or so and someone on the top spot has an in game score of over 1.2 mil. I need to up my game. Lol
 
They've been doing this since leaderboards started up on XBL and PSN. Ignore the obviously fake ones and shoot for the next real top score.
 
Its not fun in that way you know, challange for the top spot is always my fav thing in a video game especially in DmC (Cauz its so awsome :D ) and im sure other dudes who play for leaderboards also think so.

Have they played the previous DMC games? If so your lucky, my friends still consider both DMC and DmC to be a 'Japanese kind of game' so they've played non of them, partly because they say they'll suck at it :/ I haven't got anyone I can properly compete with because of that.

All my mates have xbox, so it's just little old me on the PS3.>_< I guess I could look at their scores when I go to their houses.
 
As far as XBOX is concerned I have no clue, I know that flashing the firmware and cheating on achievements and points has been common in the past, but as for the PS3 hacking would be nigh impossible for a whole slew of reasons.
First of all 'hacking' is not made possible through the aid of fairydust and unicorn horns.
Second all attempts at hacking the PS3 have been met with extreme resistance, you would not be able to even log on PSN (which is required to access the leaderboards) if you were using a custom, or cracked OS (which is required to hack the leaderboards).
Third leaderboard scores are submitted straight after you finish a Mission, a cracked save would make no difference.
And fourth and last there are bugs in this game that allow the swift traversal of a stage and I've seen some Japanese players with some serious skill who rack up points faster than you could ever hope.
 
Just take a look at the PS3 Online Total score leaderboards, the hacked ones are all from 1 person that got minus scores(MInus scores dont exicst there)
I was playing with some japanese dudes on Leaderboards and got On leaderboards in some missions number 1, you dont need to tell me I dont know how to build points fast.

But as I said Just take a look on the total score leaderboards its clearly hacked.
 
Hm, have faith in NT and Crapcom. I am more that sure that they take a look at the leaderboards at least once, and when they see insanely high scores they will more than likely investigate.

Unlike previous DMC games, DmC is very linear and almost doesn't have backtracking.

So you can't have monsters respawn over and over to accumulate style points.
You have a limited amount of enemies to work on.

If he's not hacking, I wonder how the player was able to gather this much score.
 
After videos showing not balanced gameplay and easily abused style ranking NT said its fine, they wont fix anything. Do you think with that kind of attitude they will bother to fix that? Come on, they are not making game for gamer and fans but for themself and critics.
