Kojima wanted to leave the director position of MGS4, but saw the fan reaction (including death threats (http://www.ps3today.com/Blogs/News/hqs/blr_957.aspx)) he stayed as director.

Remember: the fans are a very big press on the developers.

But I will say this much, if she is improved in appearance and moves, then I would enjoy seeing her inclusion in the game, I wont lie, she isnt my fav female character but alot can change for the next installment.
