Just curious, but does anyone still believe that silly "Nero being Vergils son" theory?

To everyone here: It was just a theory. I was just trying to make sense out of this madness, just like you were.

My opinion isn't going to change on this matter though, sorry. I'm still going to put this theory up on the "General DMC Board".

It doesn't make sense, but Capcom has confirmed this in a book recently.:P

Well Capcom did confirm it in both the novel and their latest artbook.
Not quite. In the newest artbook the wording isn't clear cut and we can't seem to get a proper translation.

As for the novel there is no place there where it says he is his son simply that when Vergil was there a woman left Nero in an orphanige that same night, no actual stablishing of relationship was ever clarified.

PS- I don't get why people insist that Vergil wouldn't touch a woman just because she's human. His mother was human and stablishing that sort of parallels will help stablish a relationship or a bond. It's hardly unheard of and not even that rare, whether counciously or sub people will often pick a partner because of traits that resemble a parent, often men of their mothers, women their fathers.

Maybe the twins have a penchant for human women, like their father did?:/
Remember Wesker example: everybody thought he was cold and only power obsessed and we found out he has a son, so...

Well considering how Vergil apparently hates his human side and cares nothing for humans, it just seems odd that he'd have a child with a human woman, and with a prostitute no less.

Yeah but that was stupidly forced in there by Capcom only recently. We all know the real Wesker wouldn't want to gander with some lady as he's to busy plotting is uprising. Plus it really doesn't fit the timeline either when you think about it. They said Jake Muller inherited his fathers powers at birth. Wesker gained his in 98. Seeing as RE6 takes places in 2013, Jake would have to be like 15 years old.

PARADOX!!!! xD Lol.

Apparently >_<

Now most of their work could equate to that of a fan fiction. It's humorous at times but not when it happens to your favorite titles.

Yah then its just annoying :P i believe that if you make a game make the timelines as concrete as the gameplay and stroyline itself none of this guessing or maybe's concrete timeline to allow for no error's when it comes to theorys on son's or daughters or w.e lol

You sir are awsome lol do you play 360 or ps3?
PS3.... sometimes..... but my thing is acting screwy >_<

I thought about getting a 360 thanks to Lost Odyssey but a friend of mine just let me use his. But back on my PS3, I might have to get it replaced soon. I got it on release date and it has lasted this long, so I'm not too upset. I guess it's all tuckered out now, eh?

She wasn't a prostitute, they never saw the woman who left the child there they simply assumed she was because of how common they were at the time. I'm assuming that the reason his mother traveled all the way to Fortuna is because she thought that he would be treated well since he was a descendant of Sparda.

But that still doesn't explain why Vergil would have sex with a human.

Maybe because dante beat him even though dante accepted his human side which vergil believed to inferior...maybe vergil decided there was something to humans and took a chance or he found a human that could actually keep up with him or he respected either way there is something to it

Like I said, his mother was human. He might hate his human side but he seems rather indifferent towards humans in general, if one gets in his way he'll undo them but otherwise, they're there, who cares. He also doesn't really have a close relationship with his other side of the family since he kills demons left and right, too.

Anyway, it's not impossible for Vergil to become enamored with a woman if that woman shares any traits with his mother, whether it be a physical trait or other miens. The point is it's not impossible for him to have affections towards a human woman if the conditions are right. The same could be argued of a demon woman.

PS- I think this might give the impression that I think that it is infact true that Nero is Vergil's kid. Actually I don't think it's true, I'm simply arguing that Vergil loves his human mother and to love another human is not that much of a stretch.
