A succubus is literally, a female demon. An incubus is a male demon. Because of traditional sexist thinking during the age the legend was created, women are often pictured as weaker creatures who's only power over men is sexual so they were often seen as a man's undoing (Adam and Eve). exploration of sexuality was taboo then as well. So, the succubus was depicted as a sexual demon who seduced men into evil and carnal desires and actions.

I think the reason Poison is a succubus is because she produces a popular energy drink, thus giving it a sort of attraction to humans. They can't stop drinking the stuff and pretty much fell for it's "charm." But like a succubus, it will damage your life the more you're around it. Succubus are sexy demons that lead you to loving them, but steal your soul in the process. The same is for Poison's drinks. Humans drink it, but it slowly affects you for a greater plan to come.
but that doesn't explain all those date related insults dante made.there has to be some context, or else they would be very stupid and pointless comments

If I was fighting a sucubus, I'd be making comments like that too. Like all he's said;
"I'm your prom date you ugly sack of sh*t!" (Prom)
"You don't look a day of 12000." (Never talk about a women's age while married or dating them)
"F*ck you!" (Dating or marrige issues and possible fight)
"I'm over here sweety!" (Dodges a thrown plate or item from wife or girlfriend)
"You're dumped." (The break up.) Dante resist a succubus.
"You know what your problem is? You're too clingy!" (The girl doesn't want to let go. Like a stalker.)
"I think you're all mixed up." (She doesn't know what she wants.)
That's how I see it.

Ok so is it weird if I say that thanks to your post, I like all Dante's insults in this one level more than old Dante's lines in DMC4 "In the end, we are all satisfied, and you are set free?" Because wow that was just.. such a funny but enlightening post XD

I assume Dante is just mocking her for being old & ugly.....I guess even sexy demons like succubus' can turn out ugly for 12,000 years of living......she did say she was 12,000 years old right but why I keep hearing 1,200 from everyone else?
Anyway, apparently her bodily fluids in the form of the Virility drink is meant for men as it improves their sexual performance & makes them more thin, leaner, & sexier.....MEANT FOR MEN....IMPROVES SEXUAL PERFORMANCE...sounds close to a succubus. I guess due to her being a dried up, unattractive, sack of sh*t Mundus found a job for her using her sexy juices to slowly kill men.

mhm, but none the less she is still really old! that probably explains why she is so ugly and dried up looking. she has used virility to poison men for over a thousand years so it looks like it has taken affect on her appearance.

Sounds about right so men since year 1000 have been drinking energy drinks....if that was the case Sparda would've done something about it before he died 1000 years later....but I guess he was too busy getting angel tail to even care.
