But then again there are other forums that have twice the people in it that hate the game...IDK just putting this out there....
True, true. But than shouldn't those folks be here? I see DMC.org as "the Sonic Retro" concerning DMC stuff so if we here are warming up to him than wouldn't we represent the fan base at large?

^ Not really their are a lot of folks here who dislike DmC and like it so we represent a lot.
TOPIC: Boycott a VIDEO GAME is nonsense. Fans should've never tried to boycott this because like a lot of folks say, "you don't like the game don't buy it." Simple as that.

This page is no different from lets say...Gamefaqs or Capcom Unity...if anything the capcom unity page have more to say because it is being direct with the mods over there and capcom in general....this is just a fanpage...the Devil May Cry page at CU is set there by legit capcom employee's so word over there I believe in my opinion matters more...but I can be wrong...and there are more "haterz" is the right word that I am looking for that people have been labeled by other people, than they are here....

So the folks at Capcom DMC forums are part of the boycotting hate?

Boycotting is a frivolous, meaningless attempt at pretending you have a voice. If you don't like the game, don't buy it, but don't try and rally people behind you thinking you can make a difference. The game is coming out, get over it.

I hardly think that we here are a representation of the DMC fan base. The games each sold 2 million copies and how many of us are there here, couple dozen, couple hundred at most. Even if not alll of the peole who buy the games are fans we are still a fraction of the fan base when you think of all the other DMC forums with large number of members like IGN, Phanthom Babies, Devil's Lair, GameGaf, Capcom U and all Capcom U's overseas, and all international forums. With that in mind we can't say we represent the majorety.

Not always the case. Okami was a great game, but it didn't sell well and actually killed the company that created it.

Okami' was good in an 'artistic' way. Sort of like, one can't deny that classical music is good, but you can't make a Mozart music video and expect it to be popular. DmC is aiming for the mainstream audience which gives it more flexibility. More people can hate it vocally and it could still do well. It's like, I want to kick Justin Bieber in the balls as does seemingly EVERYONE in the world, but somehow, he sells records like crazy. Imagine if his music was good. So, with the type of audience this game will interest, there's much room for detractors, especially with how 'western' it is while still retaining deep combat. Anyone who has not played a Devil May Cry but would if it were more like, say God of War... Or didn't play Bayonetta because of how shallow and insipid it never cared to NOT be. Yeah, this game is shaping up to be the best of both worlds... Or so Capcom wants.

Honestly, if COD sells gangbusters every frickin' time just copy pasting even with much berating by seemingly everyone, then this has no reason not to.

Let me explain my opinion with a non-gamer's point of view: too many people who play video games are and can be whiny, unthinking, irrational, childish kids who really don't know what they are talking about because they can't seem to think logically. So why should anyone listen to them?

Unfortunately for me and many of us, that's the stereotype, and I have a feeling these guys might feel the same way when they see those petitions and boycotts and death threats. I think they just laugh and shrug it all off. I know I would!

So, yeah. These protests are pointless.

I love the death metal song...
Emo May Cry needs to F!@#ing die
an abomination of human kind....
