Don't Let the Fall of America be Your Fall
I look around the internet and I still see so many boycotts about the DmC game, even though it's about to come out sometime this year. Is there really any need to do a boycott on a game that's going to come out either way? And better yet, who do they think these petitions are going to if CAPCOM and Ninja Theory aren't listening to them? Or is it starting to die down since 2010 and 2011? Either way, it's one thing to hate a game and not buy it, but it's another to try and stop it from coming out for other people who want to play, and sending death threats to a video game company all because of a change in gaming. My friend said that the death threats were nessesary and that he would have sent some as well...I almost hit him.

Anyway, do you think petitions of boycott should still be around? Even when the game finally comes out, do you think it willl still exsist?

What? You can't boycut something that you can't buy so untill it comes out you can't boycut it. But your friend does sound like an idiot. I MURDER FOR VIDEO GAMES! You see stupid that sounds. Lord are people morrons...

There are people who are boycutting for different reasons, some hate the game and what it repressents, some hate Capcom for what they've been doing, and so on. So it depends on your views and how you feel. No one can tel you to buy or not because it's your money so I'm going to say that if you want to boycut it's your money.

Instead of petitions to boycott the game, people should 'speak' with their money. That is what will make the most difference. B*tching about it and saying 'NT should die' or whatever won't make any difference.
Personally, i think the hate for this game is now laughable (especially about dante's look after all this time). This game is coming out, no one can do anything about it.

VOTE WITH YOUR MONEY PEOPLE, DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T BUY IT... SIMPLES *SQUEAKS*

If there are some people who wants to boycott this game, then they should just do what they want.
I'm pretty sure those hypocrites will play the game someday like when i hated GoW but played it anyway.

Look, making a petition is one thing and is ok but advocating someone should be killed because you dont like their product is not right.

if you dont want the game to succeed than you and your friends should not buy the game. That is the quickest way to make them fail.

if finally Dante is proved to be an easy crap who sleeps around, i will boycott DmC.
I have been a stubborn DmC supporter since 2010.
I don't want to see this young man being ruined by stupid sexual theme.

Of course they'll buy it. There's a cycle with DMC games. They'll say the latest one sucked and the one before was the best in the series. When another comes out, they'll claim the one they said they hated is the best in the series and the new one sucks. When a new Devil May Cry comes out, they'll say its ruining the series and that DmC was awesome. Its a cheap way to attempt to stay relevant.

then don't buy DmC. Or just rent or borrow the game from someone. Or just watch youtube playthroughs.

Boycotting games is silly, Have you seen hentai games? Now thats something to boycott, well actually not because if a certain person enjoys that kind of game, well then who am i to say they cannot have that game if someone is willing to make it. All i can really do is just not support it.

They have Hentai games? I'll have to... uh... look that up.... wait I mean not.... you know... not look... for that.. on Google... you know....

The hate train is still going on. It picks up shortly after the love train has left the station.

I think its safe to say that we here at DMC.org represent the DMC fan base at large. So since most of us here are warming up to New Dante I'd say whatever other fan sites do and say have no foothold in this. In other words what we feel and say here in DMC.org is gospel truth!
Anybody else want to join me forum team spirit? ^_^
But then again there are other forums that have twice the people in it that hate the game...IDK just putting this out there....
On Topic...Boycotting a game is sometimes not the best way to approach a problem but sometimes it makes the developers listen because the fans are going to the extremes to make there voices be heard...I mean...have you guys heard the Death metal song they did...it was hilarious...but again..people are entitled to do anything given internet access...an example would be that they petitioned a game called xcross edge i think it was called to be ported to the U.S. and it worked...

I don't get why people are so up in arms about the hate. I mean, it's not going to affect the final product. If the game is good, they'll be wrong. If the game is bad, regardless of what was said, it's no one's fault but the developers. The haters don't make this game what it is. Neither do the supporters. The fact that one guy has this much support and attention is more due to the supporters hating and talking about him, really. Topics in forums are always brought up by those who claim to dislike him. Then, people who have never heard of him check him out and find they agree with him.

Personally, I find things about this game I like and a lot that I don't like. I like hack and slash, so I'll give this game the chance to prove itself to me as it's only been improving as time has gone by. If I end up hating this game, it won';t be because I was convinced by another person. If I like it, it will be due only to the game delivering what I want.

Trying to encourage the boycotting of a product purely on the basis of "I don't like it" is a bit over the top. Boycotting is a practice normally used in instances where (in this case) consumer rights are being adversely affected, not because of personal preference.

If you don't like the idea of the game, don't buy it. It's not a protest to not buy something you have no interest in - it's just common sense. If you really want the game but don't want to support NT/Capcom, then not buying the game would be considered a boycott, imo.
