if you were Dante, how will you be after the first DmC?

Rebellion being the blade of revolution, I think Alastor should be the sword of Protection, and in the Third game. Dante gets the perfect Nephillim weapon, created from both his Nephillim powers and his experiences as a hero. The Force Edge, the sword that slays Gods and Devils
I would also add that Force Edge could be formed from combining both Rebellion and Alastor.

Hmmm Well on one hand I avenged my mother's death and my father's imprisonment. But I also had to fight my brother...Hmm well I think I'd feel really sad, but try to keep it covered up...I'd also feel responsible if any innocent people getting hurt now that Limbo's collapsed into the real world, so I'd try to save as many people as I can...Find a place to hold up with Kat and try to reform the order, make sure they have some way of defending themselves from demons....Everything else go with the flow and in the words of the great Dean Winchester "Kill as many evil sons of b!tches as I can, and raise a little hell"

Not strictly answering the question, but for the next part of the story, I think Dante should lose or break Rebellion.

I remember Tameem saying that rebellion is a central theme of the game; rebellion is represented in the world's design, in the street art, in the sword Dante carries and the rebellion that Dante carries in his heart.

I would like Dante to lose or break Rebellion at the beginning of the game to represent he dosen't carry the same emotions in his heart. Dante will get another main weapon, maybe even a homage to Alastor from DMC1. Something that represents he's dealing with the pain, yet he has lost his something from the events of DmC. He's become upset with himself and he no longer has a rebellion in his heart, he feels remorse for his actions.

Dante's Rebellion sword that symbolises rebellion is gone and that Dante has changed. Yet at the end of the game or even DmC3, I would like Rebellion to be returned to Dante to symbolise his character has come full circle. He has accepted the consequences of his actions and the rebellion in his heart burns on.

O.o

Okay, that's it, @Judge you should really start a fanfic for a sequel, and do each missions.. or make a script and send it to Capcom.. seriously, i could see it happening in a game.. so dmc never had a decent story? well we're gonna have one

If I had the time I would. If anyone has any fan fics I would be interested in reading them.

Besides I think DmC did have a good story, its just not the spectacular story we were expecting. Especially compared to Ninja Thoery's previous games Heavenly Sword and Enslaved.

Hopefully if DmC 2 is next, or maybe even DMC5 Capcom hire excellent writers, because we want a better story next time.

(jealous pouting)

don't worry, i'm jealous of judge too, lol

yep. it had a good origin story, but indeed i was hoping a spectacular one.. capcom can't hire excellent writer, because that'll cost decent money, and decent writers dont actually make up for decent story.. i'd rather this developers or industry, both games and movies, hire amateurish or unknown writers, costs less and usually understands more about the topic.. just look at game adaptation movies, it's destructive on a catascrophic level.. lmao

You know I was thinking as well. At the beginning of DmC 2, you awake as Dante in a dream sequence. During the dream sequence the demon Rebellion comes to Dante and finds Dante unworthy of using his (or her) power for his actions during DmC. This should be like the boss fights from DMC3, where you have to fight the boss's before you are worthy to weild the Devil Arms. This time though, Dante is found unworthy.

At the end of the boss fight the demon Rebellion impales Dante through the chest (like DMC1) to symbolise that Dante has been found unworthy of his Rebellion Devil Arm. This also symbolises the theme of the story is not rebellion like the first game, but the theme of the story is retribution. Dante's journey is one of retribution, one where is filled with doubt and uncertainty. In this state Dante is no match for Vergil.

Eventually in the third game Dante would face the demon Rebellion again and the demon would find himself completely overpowered by a fully formed Devil Hunter. Yet Dante combines the power of Alastor and Rebellion to create the Force Edge. That could work.

It would also allow you to switch default or "human" weapons in the game, as Dante tries to find a new signature weapon.

Alastor could be an Angel sword infused with Lightning Dante receives after beating Barachiel, the Angel of Lightning.

Continuing from my thoughts, Dante's version of the Downfall would be questioning whether or not he should stay behind to help sort out this mess or go find another world to call home.

Eventually he'd man up and decide to stay behind and try his hand at this hero game, stumbling around to put out fires (metaphor) and earn the trust of the people.

He doesnt have the best reputation before or after DmC so its touch and go for a while

Why not make that more interesting and throw the angels into the mix. I think for the next step I would like the angels to serve as the main antagonists.

Funny enough since DmC has both angels and demons (Eva being the only angel actually seen), and the two main boys as Nephilim (Half Angel, Half Demon) I'm reminded a lot of Darksiders 1 & 2.

I was focusing more on Dante's mindset rather an actual plot but angels would be a good physical threat plus i thought it was weird that Dante didn't have any reaction to finding out he was also half angel.

i'm loving this thread, not because this is my own, but the stuffs that comes up here are exciting ideas.. i'm hoping this will continue forward and somewhat make a great scenario, then someone could sum it up as a collaborated fanfic for a sequel.. and i sure wanna do the artwork for it, hopefully a good one

Dante has made a bold claim to serve as humanity's protector, the human's true guardian. His brother Vergil is gone, for now, plotting in the background his own maniacal scheme for power to rule supreme.

Dante would assist Kat in finding other potential followers to aid his cause, and they rally up a team calling themselves The Order Of The Sword (Taking the name from DMC 4) This could introduce Trish as a demon who had a change of heart, like Sparda did. Lady, whose past is like Kat's, except she's half human and half demon because her father sought to becoming a demon and then raped her mother to give birth to her when he was one.

Now you have a small team of fighters against the demons running amok. Except now with Mundus defeated the next strongest demon in the Underworld will take over from Mundus, and despite his imprisonment that is now Sparda.

Sparda after years of imprisonment, releases his rage and slays a vast majority of his own kind. The only problem is that he has gone completely insane and thinking he has nothing worth having anymore since Eva's death, sets his heart on destruction and chaos. He's been driven to complete madness and grows to become an unstoppable and unrelenting God of destruction.

The Angels who have turned a blind eye to humanity since the demons had spent an eternity brainwashing them and tempting them to sin, now turn their sights to humanity in the wake of the demon uprising.

Their most elite warriors descend down to attempt to put a stop to the evil and instantly sense an unwelcomed presence. Dante, a Nephilim, is despised by Angels due to his blood being impure. They hate the fact that an Angel would side with something as foul as a demon and disregard the idea of love being the cause for that.

So, Dante has an enraged Demon God waging war on everything, that happens to be his father. A group of powerful, elite Angelic warriors. And a scheming brother to deal with.

That's how I'd like DmC 2 to go. I'll explain more as to what I would do as Dante etc soon.

The thread was "what would YOU do if you were Dante" not "what you think Dante should do"

Yes, I know. But of course, we don't know what DmC 2 will be about, so I was creating my own version of events that I was going to work off of.

My last statement was I'd explain more as to what i would do as Dante soon.

hohoho.. that part where lady is half angel/demon is a nice catch.. and haha, mundus has a good sense to be an antagonist, loosing your dearly beloved is more than enough of reason to gone senile.. with Sparda slaying his own kind, that should make the demons going either rebellious and targeting him too or bow down before him out of fear..

But aren't these straying like much bit from the DMC? this is gonna even **** haters more of if this was the sequel.. wait--- come to think of it, let the hatred go bigger!! it's been hated anyway

The thread was "what would YOU do if you were Dante" not "what you think Dante should do"

it's fine DM, it's still going with the direction what his dante will eventually do with all that shiz that happens..

Whatever, dude. I'd make shawarmas to celebrate.

LMAO

-----------

continue! the plot still has common direction, involving races, significant character from races, Dante struggling with his self and the vow he made, angels being not the good type, and battle of the worlds..

ps: should this thread be moved to the fanfic or could it stay here for later be summed and posted in the fanfic section?
