Okay, so ignoring my latest status, I just read the DMC5 prequel novel, and I finally figured out DMC2 and DMC5's place in the timeline.
So sum up what I know about Dante and Nero's ages watch the following video, as this guy has reached the same conclusions as me regarding DMC1, DMC3, and DMC4

Okay so the novel shows how Nico and Nero met for the first time, and says the events of DMC4 happened 5 years ago. Meanwhile, Dante is meeting with Martier and Lucia, and mentions the events of DMC2 were about 10 years ago. The last chapter, which ends with the scene of Nero losing his arm, says Nico had now been living with Nero and Kyrie for a year. Meaning DMC5 takes play 6 years after DMC4.

So if Dante is 38 in DMC4, and Nero is 19. Then that would make Dante 43 and Nero 24 in the novel, and 44 and 25 in DMC5, and if Dante is 43 in the novel, then he was around 33 in DMC2.

So it goes DMC3-9 years-DMC1-5 years-DMC2-5 years-DMC4-6 Years-DMC5

No wonder Dante has so many lines on his face if he's hit middle age. :nailbiting:

It does make it a little ridiculous (and a little sad) that someone who's almost an old man is still acting like such a child.

Doctor Who, Hellboy in the movies, and MCU Tony Stark/Thor waves hi.

Dante tends to get flanderized as either too serious or too jokey and usually the jokey side is more fun to watch.

Serious Dante tends to fall flat as they don't build the story around his new demeanor. They don't acknowledge it or challenge it so it becomes a chore to go through.

Going by what ef 09 o shea mentioned:
https://devilmaycry.org/forums/threads/how-to-bring-mundus-back.23834/page-3#post-675887
and by the OP, would this be correct:
Dante is 45 in DMC4, Nero is 19. Dante 50 and Nero 24 in the novel, and 51 and 25 in DMC5; Dante is 50 in the novel, 40 in DMC2.
No dude, Dante was 38 in DMC4. If Nero was born around the time of DMC3 (They said Nero in DMC4 is DMC3 Dante's age) also, Dante in DMC4 was said to he in his 30's almost 40 EDIT: In the comment you linked ef claims DMC5 Dante was 45.

Right. So, 38 in DMC4, 45 in DMC5, 33 in DMC2?

It was said in another thread that it was stated Vergil was defeated as nelo Angelo 16 years prior

And Dante was 29 in DMC1 , Thats where I got 45 from lol

He was 19 in DMC3 and dmc1 is ten years later

Stuff has been retconned so many times that it's hard to know what stuck

The 8 and 20 thing was from DMC1 iirc

9-10 Not that far off either way. Not trying to argue. But I've always thought, yes indeed, DMC3 Dante is 19 and DMC1 Dante is 28 EDIT. Llike the video in the op explains how I got most of my conclusions

Well it is possible dmc1 was 9 years after 3 , but multiple sources and capcom ones included said it was 10 years after 3

And I know your not arguing bud, I'm just going what I've seen and read like yourself

I concede though that it is said he was 28 in 1 which Ur correct about but 3 retconned it

I could be wrong of course ha ha

Considering his insane regeneration level , up there with wolverine

It's surprising he ages and isn't kind of immortal

Not necessarily. Regeneration does not, by itself, prevent aging. In fact, extreme would regeneration powers may hasten the aging process if they are not accompanied by increased ability to repair DNA and cell damage. EDIT: Not to mention possibility of tumors.
