how to use xbox 360 controller with pc ?

How do i use my xbox 360 controller with my pc to play games ? If u know how the can u kindly tell if there are any need for extra accessories.( also, does the 360 controller use bluetooth or wi-fi to connect )

If I confused you about the wireless and wired, a wired is where your controller has a wire to connect to the 360 console and the controller cannot remove the wire. The wireless is where you controller had a detachable wire. I think every wireless controller should a come with a usb detachable wire, but it does not make the controller a wired.

I think it can be wireless as well. At least with my PS3 DualShock 3 controller, as long as I connect the USB cord to it, it works fine.

The wired one you merely plug in and Windows installs it but with a wireless one you just need the 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows to pick up the 360 controller signal can usually get one for cheap online.
