Hmmm, are there any boss fights that look this cool?

Based on what I have seen, the boss fights in DmC seem very lacking in allowing any form of flexible tactics. That......and you must admit a AI wolf with a thermal chainsaw on it's tail is a neat idea for a boss.

I thought the last boss was the weakest, just roll then attack, didn't seem to get noticeably harder on dmd.

All the bosses are pretty weak tbh but he asked if there were any cool bosses not difficult bosses. Other bosses are pretty boring compared to last one.

Hmmm, should have explained in more detail, I meant cool both in how enjoyable it was to fight them, and how cool they were in their own right.

Other bosses are just hit the giant weak spots and move away from their huge slow attacks.

Well, boss fights are the most weak aspect of DmC. And even so, the whole gameplay style going for MGR just don't fit in the style of Devil May Cry as a whole.

sorry, no anime boss fights here with an overly long introduction cutscene, and yes, the bosses are much cooler than generic dog robo number 5000 imo

so true, seriously, why do people keep saying its that MGR is like a devil may cry game, its not nearly as deep or free

Ya they really can't be compared. What I got from the demo is that MGR will become very repetitive eventually. Its not like Dmc where you have things like higher rankings to strive for on different difficulties. They should have put a ranking system in there especially since some old dmc devs are working on it.

No need to be harsh with MGR too, and if you got a problem with "anime" you should just as well stop calling yourself a DMC fan altogether. ¬¬

Besides MGR is not even supposed to be anything like DMC in the first place. And I'm really looking foward to that game, so it's really annoying when people like alchemist feel like they need to bash a game that's not even out yet in favor of DmC.

don't have a problem with anime, just anime cliches' and old dmc had them in alittle too many spades after dcm2, to the point you could make the characters interchangeable with inuyasha characters

Are you kidding me? Yo, fake Metal Gear fan, GTFO.

To say this piece of crap lives up to the Metal Gear standard is a goddamn shame because Metal Gear is a series that has brought some of the most creative and interesting boss fights in gaming history. Let's even do a recap of some of the more epic moments.

PSYCHO MANTIS- This right here was a boss fight that you will never ever forget if you played it because you had to think outside the box to win this and I have never played any boss fight so memorable and great as this one.

THE END- This was a boss fight that not only tested your skill in the game but also your endurance as it was a boss fight that could literally last for hours. You can also kill him before you even have to fight him or actually wait until he died of old age. But it really is more fun if you take him on.

GRAYFOX- The real Cyborg Ninja badass looking to kill you this time. Multiple strategies can be used to take this guy out but his taunting makes the fight even more memorable especially once you find out more about him. It's why we love Gray Fox.Similar to the cool boss fight from the original game with a cool feature of taking a picture of Gray Fox will have the developers pop up as ghost in it.

VULCAN RAVEN- Get hit by this motherfucker's canon and you were dead so the tension really rattles you that finishes with a badass death scene.

THE BOSS- Not all the special in the crazy factor but such more as its a punch in your gut if you're a fan. The petals change color to whoever winning the battle but actually having you the player pull the trigger for killing shot when its time for her to die makes the victory oh so bitter sweet but still memorable.

THE SORROW- He's freaking dead already! Not even a boss fight as you have to just avoid ghost and reach the end of this river. You don't even do any fighting but the awesome thing is that all the people you killed up until that point are spirits looking to get back at you so if you killed alot of people so far, you have a bunch of ghost with beef.

LIQUID SNAKE- A tough fight with an intense chase sequence with also one of the coolest villains out there. What's not to like?

I can go on but to I think I have every right to be upset with this stupid Rising game as all I got was some mediocre hack and slash and the dialogue in this scene right here was absolutely awful.

Just started my hell and hell run, against the hunter I devil dodged, then hit DT, then killed him basically instantly.

I really don't see why the bosses have so little health.

Oh sorry, I forgot the true Metal Gear fan is not allowed to actually like Raiden's character growth from MGS2 to MGS4.

And what is this "all I got" crap now? I forgot the part were they scrapped their oncoming Metal Gear Solid games so Rising could be produced. Oh wait, that's right, they didn't.
Not even gonna argue about "mediocre hack and slash" here since you seem to be detainer of universal truth of video games quality. And by the way, is the team of Kojima productions who is responsible for the "absolutely awful" dialogue, the same ones from every other MGS, so you can keep your biased complains about it to yourself and gtfo.

What's so special about this dog boss? Even sanctus is more unique than it. The two bosses in MGR so far aren't anything to write home about.
It's just this need that people have to keep comparing two games that clearly have nothing in common besides being hack and slashers.

Sanctus was not unique. He was an ass.

The robot wolf is okay, I guess it's unique because it's a robot wolf. That's pretty much it and maybe people just think it's interesting to fight something artificial but based on something primal. It does get predictable though and with how the parry/block system works, it's easy once you see the stupid thing's whole body flash before attack. Whoever designed this "killing machine" is a complete idiot. Really? Whole body flashing? Might as well have soldiers using stealth camo have flashing LEDs that for whatever reason are not covered by the stealth camo.

"Hey Ted, let's put these bright LEDs on these suits and not cover it with stealth camo."
"But Fred, won't that make it easy for the soldiers to be spotted?"
"Nah, they're soldiers, they'll never be spotted and if they were spotted, they'd be fine . . ."
*On a battlefield*
"OMFG! John! Oh no! John, your arms - ehOHEIargh!" *lacerated into chunky human bits; dies*
"Goddamn LEDs! Who the hell decided it was a good idea to put these on the suits. Wait, who the hell bought these for us?!"
*Whole freaking battalion dies*
"Bunch of Rudolphs."

DmC's flashing-their-weapon enemies are a bit harder to see, but still makes it easy to spot. The whole, freaking body flashing, yeah, you'd have to be blind to miss that. As for bosses in DmC, I can only comment on Poison because I don't own the game. Same thing with MGR: Revengeance, which none of you own, and I have commented on the only boss in the demo.

The only boss in the game that is enjoyable to fight is the final boss and only on son of sparda and up, otherwise he is too easy. It's a pretty wide and reasonable criticism to say the bosses in this game are just meh at best. MGR looks to have plenty that seem super fun and challenging to kill, shame DmC fell on it's face in that area, hope they learn from games like Bayonetta, MGR, and the original DMC games on how to make a challenging boss. They also need to learn how to make a boss battle more of a dramatic spectacle we wont forget so they should start taking notes from, well Bayonetta(Jubilaus!!!!!!) and the God of War series for that.
