Scottish Qualification Authority Exams, High school exams for Scotland. Your coursework is decided by them too, as it goes towards you final mark. Our version of GCSE's would be the best way to put it actually. They are graded in numbers instead of letters.
1-2 = Credit
3-4 = General
5-6 = Foundation
7 = Fail
8 = Did Not Sit Exam/Complete Properly
