it'd be a sick twist y'know? like go through all this crap just to find out that Sparda's the one who murdered Eva AND attempted to murder his sons soon after but failed, then immediately after the whole "YOU B******!! he takes no damage fight" Dante is saved by the guy in the mask (who turns out to be Vergil) and they unleash a can of demonic whupass on dear-old-dad.
