Enemy variety

Sparing you a long response, even those who have played the game and like it agree that it's easier than the originals. The close-to-infinite airborne combat might be one of the reason why it's easier, but there must be more to it. And no, I'm still playing DMC3&4 with turbo and DmC is somehow too easy while once in a while, I'm still forced to use a healing item in DMC3 on Hard and up.
I admit DmC is easier than DMC3... but no one here ever compares it to DMC1, or DMC2. In some aspects DMC1 is actually easier than DmC.
The combat is fine for me. None of the enemies are ridiculous. When I get hit, it's always my fault for not dodging and so far... I've never been put into a situation that didn't allow me an easy way out. The enemies are easy if they are alone... the only thing that makes battles challenging is my inability to keep them within my control. That's what DMC1 was like for me.
As for having ground enemies hit you out of the air... I hate that idea. It would make gameplay aggravating.

I still fail to see how the game being only slightly easier is an inherently bad thing :/ It's fine.

We also don't even know how hard it will be in the full game, or how difficult it will actually get.

I'm being REALLY honest here. For someone who is experienced with DMD on all four DMC games (ESPECIALLY DMC1 and DMC3), DmC on SoS feels like DMC3 on Easy. DMC1 is definitely not easier than DmC. DmC is just like DMC4 in terms of difficulty, but this isn't a bad thing.

I dunno... The bosses in DMC1 were harder, but everything inbetween was easier.
Every enemy was a peace of cake even on DMD if you knew their weakness.

But yeah, I love the difficulty in DmC. To me it's a good thing that it's easier than DMC3 (and DMC2?).

DmC SoS=DMC3 easy? No way. Maybe newcomers to DMC3 who are now seasoned would feel that way, but it's so wrong...

Watching someone play a hard difficulty is not the same as playing it yourself.

Of course that isn't, but other than having more hp and dealing more damage, there's slight difference. As said by one dude about DmC: "on SoS they at least bother to attack, on lesser difficulties not even that"

DmC Dante Must Die = DMC3se Hard/Normal in original edition
but the enemies in DMC3SE Hard mode died after 2 generic combos, or 3 stingers
The demons in DmC don't just die after 2 combos.

The only hard part in DMC3 were the bosses. The enemies are idiots and they seem to like getting in front of my sword, not to mention most of them have HUGE tells when they attack. Not saying DmC doesn't have the same tells but at least they move off screen to attack you. The good thing about DmC is that you can control the difficulty. If its to easy for you, then turn off some of ur abilities and play it like ur just starting off.

And he's wrong, because just messing around in the demo enemies "bother to attack." And the enemies are more aggressive in DMD, not to mention that the enemies get more aggressive just by you getting an A or above in Style.

Really? I must have missed that in your "knowledge primer" so kinda like a taunt I see.

I would if I could remember which one it was :/ I've gone through so much info, it's sort of blending together, and some older stuff gets buried by all the new stuff that keeps getting released. It's here somewhere...I think it was an interview of some kind...but I can't remember if it was with Tameem or Alex Jones...god...could have been one of the convention panel screenings @_@

Im not sure we can really judge the difficulty by demo since we're probably not getting the same waves of enemies that are in the full game. But if u wanna compare what beens given id say its around dmc4 difficulty on normal and harder than dmc3se. Boss battle wise it seems around DMC3 if you have no idea what the enemies patterns are but one u figure em out it becomes pretty easy.

Cant judge higher than normal mode since the waves may differ in the final game. I think the game will be pretty hard in the later lvls since the game wants to bring in people new to the dmc series, i think they wanna ease them into the game then screw em over on the higher less noob friendly difficulties. Just from the enemies seen the though of fighting 2 rages with a witch with some fodder seems hard to me.

When it comes to enemy variety i think thats probably something that kept a lot secret since they showed off the majority of the weapons and a few stages they probably wanted to keep most enemies secret.
