Enemy variety

This game in itself is decent, but what I think it lacks the most is enemy variety. 90% of them are mannequin looking humanoid demons. It's the worst of all devil may cry in this area, the only well done enemy so far appears to be that witch/summoner blue chick (whom I thought to be Kat), the rest is mostly fodder.
DMC3 is the best imo, despite them as well being mostly similarly looking and made of sand and ****, each of them had an unique behavior and ability.
I also like DMC4's enemies... all in all, DmC looks black and white I must say.

Hopefully Vino's adversaries appear more demonic with 6 limbs 10 eyes and ****
Opinions?

DMC4 had multiple "fodders" on-screen than this, though the enemy design is pretty "DMC Generic". I find it sticks closer to the DMC series which is good. Demons with morphed weapons (ChainsawGeezers), yer basic Bloody Mari, bosses with an interesting attitude that makes them memorable....it's DMC meh. I agree with you on DMC3 though.

I like it, and we didn't even see all of them yet.

Vergil's Downfall's enemies look even better, they're just completely awesome.

I have to disagree here.....not to sound frank but I think DMC1 had the best enemy variety and DmC is basically like DMC3.

Why???

More than half of DMC3's enemies are the Hells and about half carry scythes but just attack differently....one walks up to you, one will teleport, one will dash at you, another might shoot sand at you, and another might go underground to do sneak attacks and you have the Hell Vanguard. One Hell just summons more fodder Hells and another Hell just walks around and blows up.

Plus I doubt the bubble witch is the only worthy demon foe (Tyrant, Rage, that one Buzzsaw Demon, Rogue Stygian, and they said there was one more enemy they wont show) for cause a lot of enemies in DMC3 were technically fodder then since all of the Hells were pretty easy and simple once you've figured out how they work, the Damned Chessman are only a problem if the entire set is there (which is only once in story mode) or your up against the Rook, the Enigma took hits like a p*ssy even if they had good range, the Dullahans rarely attacks no matter how hard it was to hit them without getting hurt, and the Soul Eater was just wait and shoot. The Blood-Goyles are kinda easy when you think you about it unless if you're like me and uses to the Blood-Goyles to rank up style points.

I wonder what how much Blood Goyles you can create....I was thinking of making a hundred but I think I might crash the game.

I think the reason we haven't seen a big variety of enemies is because we haven't been allowed to see the later half of the game. We start to see more variety with the witch and the Rages in later stages so let's hope they continue to add a good variety of enemies to the mix.

There certainly is a variety of enemies but I think their design and animations are lackluster. That being said there is more variety than DMC3 and probably more enemy types than DMC4, but I'd say I liked DMC4's enemies the best out of the series (probably because they took enemies from DMC1 as well). Like even comparing the designs and animation of the enemies to something like Bayonetta is depressing (though 60 fps also might play a role in the animation "quality"). I'd say that some of the enemies in Vergil's fall look better than 90 percent of what we've been shown...

whoa whoa whoa!!!! Who the **** is Vino? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure those who dislike this game because of the new look given to Dante refer to him as Dino. Its a way of saying he doesn't deserve the name Dante. Please tell me Vino isn't Vergil.

It has nothing with liking/disliking, no need to get all butthurt. It's simply a way to distinguish the old from the new ones

we already know the difference. If you were referring to DmC, Its obvious what Vergil you're talking about. You're probably "butthurting" (lol), about how they look. I didn't mean you hate the game, but you must not approve of the new Dante enough to call him "Dante".

There are only one Dante and Vergil, the originals. Writing "rebooted" or "new" is annoying, so it's simply Dino and Vino

Well, there are different enemies to be revealed...So, it's not that the list is 100% complete anyway..

Besides, Rages, Tyrants and Summoner are quite different if compared to regular enemies. So, no big deal, I guess.

Or you could just call them Dante and Vergil, since...you know...it's their names.

But anyway, I don't see how fans of the old series(which mainly comes from DMC3) can complain about enemy variety in this game. The Hells of DMC3 each only had two attacks, and only one of them were unique to each. The Abyss had a few extra attacks, I think. The Vanguard was a more upper tier enemy, so of course it differed. The rest of the enemies were embarrassing aside from the Fallen and Arachne.

DMC4's enemies were simply rehashes of DMC1 enemies, plus the weak human-made demons. But even so, due to the rehashed DMC1 demons, DMC4 had a good variety, IMO. In turn, so did DMC1.

DMC2...actually wasn't too bad, but there were countless clones. It's like there were families of demons lol. But they weren't really that bad thinking about it.

In DmC we've got the Stygians(weak, stronger, upper, and another variant), the Knights(which are practically just Stygians with shields), Ravagers, Pathos(Arrow, Bomb), Harpies, the witch, Rage, Tyrants, and more we don't know of.

Idk, but that easily trumps DMC3's enemies. DMC1(and by extension, DMC4) and DMC2 is more debatable.
