I having a hard time controlling Vergil...I can't get pass the boss Hell Vanguard’s.....got any hints..

Firstly, welcome to the forum, hope you'll enjoy.
Secondly, master Vergil's astral swords and Hell Vanguard can be easily destroyed with Vergil moving only to avoid being hit

welcome! the best way to beat hell vanguard is to literally beat the crap out of him. DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO USE HIS STRONGER MOVES! when he blocks your attack roll to the side to avoid being hit then just start attacking him again.
