I don't have a PS4, XBONE or a good PC/Laptop to be able to know how to use Vergil to his true potential, and looking at some players on Youtube and here too...non've you bearly scratched the surface with his moves can do. Concentration is an interesting mechanic and if used properly boy you can dish out some serious hurt on enemy foes.
- Grim-Trick can allow Vergil to move to one or more enemy and help cover a large amount space, so if you can hock a Summoned sword into an enemy foe then blitzing past them is easy and you can take them out with style...but you're gonna have to go creative with this one though. Teleportation is a must use it wisely. Also Use Table Hopper to lure enemies towards you...use this while in Devil Trigger. Make fun of Berial whlst using this OK. Everyone except Sanctus...don't run "Teleport" < it's imperative you use this due to "Concentration"
- Force Edge this is where you really want to pay close attention since there are countless of ways where using this sword on Alto and Bianco's Angelo's, can create loads of damage on them and disabling their shields is as easy as strike > strike > teleport > strike > strike > teleport > strike > disable sield > Go wild and there you go...however Stingers can come in handy if you manage to time them correctly otherwise is can go a big stale, and you'll loose Concentration all together. Sanctus, Frosts, Angelo's.
- Yamato now this is where style is used more affectively since Yamato can preety much make stylish combat look like dancing in the sky, and the Ariel rave combo A and B can be useful on more than one enemy, so Launch them into the sky with Force Edge and go wild with Yamato, but don't hesitate to use Judgement Cut < This will give you an edge although I'm pretty ****ed that you can't use it more than once, and the Just Frame Judgement Cut seems a bit tacky for my taste to be honest. Judgement Cut End is absolutely cheesy but I like it since maxing out the style metter should be fun. Dante, Credo, Agnus, Alto/Bianco, Sanctus, Echidna, Berial.
- Beowulf the gauntlets and greaves are the powerhouse of all the Devil Arms since you can use Charged and Distortions quite effectively and the Lunar Phase will help in combination with Yamato.....Launch enemy > Yamato > Strike A/B > Judgement Cut > A/B > Lunar Phase > A/B > Just Frame Judgement Cut...End it with Force Edge. Frosts, Agnus, Credo, Beal, Echidna, Berial.
- Summoned Swords are fun because you can use it to hold enemies down and unleash a barrage of attacks on them whilst not having to move at all, and to add salt to injury you can mock them by juggling them in the air...Spiral Swords is your ali in this because it allows you to have a space where you can charge a Judgement Cut. Spin that sword on the tip of your finger for an added bonus for instant mockery. Scarecrows, Mephistos, Blitzes, Chimeras.
- Devil Trigger is important when you want to power up your other Devil Arms and add extra damage.
You can do lot's with all the moves at your disposal...the important factor is the three "
T's" Time, Teleportation and Trick. If you know how to use these correctly then gameplay is fun and easy.
However one thing that could be great is if there's a training stage like in DmC in a possible new game, so people can practice their moves in the future...yeah sure Bloody Palace is great but....hmmmmm
