DmC Screamo?

then buy the hd collection, or stop being a fan of devil may cry since its so embarassing

And by "people" you must mean yourself because this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbVmzgDb3QI is as close as i've heard to "screamo" on DmC. And i understand if you were offended by what Tameem has said in interview and Alex Jones about how "we" dont know what cool is, get over it because they just make the game. You dont have to be friends with the guys and i doubt anyone of us on this forum ever will. (well maybe someone will). And if you want DMC to stay the same ^^ chocolateghoust had a pretty good remedy.

All i can say about the trailer is the user blows at dmc and spams the hell out of the whip.
Its not horrible character design. In any other game the character design would look just fine, but since you want the Dante that you "know and love" you will not accept it.
And NT is making the Demon world have some depth. Something the ps2 could not do and DMC4 failed to to even realize.
I know DmC is different, but there is nothing wrong with that. I'm glad they didn't just can the whole franchise, but im also glad they decided to take another look/perspective of the game. DmC will not replace your precious dmc from the past, it never could, but it can present a new and familiar play style on the newer hardware instead of making a carbon copy of the last game.
And Dante is not "emo" in DmC
it's called punk rock. check his sword

im not trying to sound like an d**k but i still don't see a purpose of this thread because the music so far has little to any "screamo" in it

They just don't have the same perception has you on this game.

Slipknot isnt Screamo music they are Nu Metal and Corey does sing in quite a lot of the tracks =] and its Mudvayne by the way and they are classed as Progressive Metal/Alternate Metal. Just thought id point that out.

Oh my god i never realised how wearing black clothes and make up would automatically make you cut yourself, hate your parents and be emotionally unbalanced, thanks for making me see the light. Must be hell for Alice Cooper and Kat Von D in life with their style choices....

By the way, about it how some people have complained about the "eyeliner" on Dante in the 2010 trailer, I actually think that if it was included in the final version, it would make Dante's eyes "easier to look at", by which I mean that whenever character has thick or dark or otherwise very clear borders to eyes, they stand out more from the face, which is good when the character is a moving object. When dashing around, lines blur and the object moves so fast it might be hard to see all details, so... yeah. Of course, all this is always dependent to situations and can't be used as a rule of thumb that's not going to go wrong.

And did I just write a couple monsters of sentences over a small matter, that, well, doesn't matter. :eek:

some men wear eye liner these days anyway (nick rhodes from duran duran has be wearing since the 80's :D )
I bet given half the chance, the normal dante would wear guy-liner too ;)

Goths, emo, punk... how many other stereotypes is the new dante gonna be compared to:rolleyes: poor bloke

Poor bloke, no joke.
Okay that sounded like I was kidding, but I really mean it that poor boy. Right off the bat he's had people hit him over the head right and left. I'm glad such behaviour is decreased with time. And in all honesty, the bad start has made it more interesting to watch and see what's going to happen; will it sell well, or will it not. I hope it'll sell well. ;D

I'm now on a wrong computer to access any DmC files so I could share a screenshot, but in the 2010 trailer, when Dante is first showed outdoors with a smoke and demons, his eyes look rather painted. Other shots don't show him so close that the same observation could be done, nor do the couple 2010 art works emphasize it. So it's no big deal in the end.

Edit: Okay, I take it back about the art works not showing the paint in the eyes --- even if I don't have the big art work files on me now, I just trotted to take a look at the big event poster I have on my wall, and Dante, holding the "Limbo City etc." board in his hands, looked back at me with eyes lined thick black and even shaped at the outer corners. Oh well.

Edit 02: Pics, though they really aren't needed... I just thought that since I'm now using the computer with the files I'll just smack them here:

Wait wait wait... So you guys are saying there are screamo music in the past DMC games (I seriously have never really noticed it) as well? Still the OP says that screamo music in this new DmC will be the reason for him to quit the franchise...

I have only one thing to say to that...

cool song! but it hardly sounds like it would fit in past dmc games. maybe in the new DmC, this type of "screamo" <still do not know what screamo is> would be cool to hear.
I honestly like a lot of different music, well different rock music and all its genres, and i would love a huge variety on the ost
 
I was thinking, if it's not bruises or eyeliner... maybe it could be the fact he hasn't slept in a few weeks (being hounded by demons could take its toll, plus being a teen... no early nights, especially if he's rebellious)
