There seems to be anew Capcom exhibition in the horizon, featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series.

I like that they kept Dante's more tanned skin from DMC1. It's a small detail but its cool to see it retained.
I don't think he's really that pale in DMC2. Just the game cover and that trailer.
I asked that once. I wasn't happy with the response.

let's say that it's true, then I'm guessing they're going to make a DMC3 version that has the style switching that the Switch does. Maybe the reason they didn't release a patch for the HD collection version is because they're repolishing a high end version. DMC3 is way too big to remake and I don't know if the games would sell well enough. Yeah, 5 sold like crack-laced Krispy Kreme and RE4's was huge, but is the original trilogy big enough to justify a remake for each? Even if we're only talking about a 4K remaster it's more complicated than just that, though. DMC1 would probably sell if they made a remaster but what about 2? It'd take more than just repolishing and some fine-tuning to get that game ready for the public, (forget making for the fans, that's just asking too much) and skipping it is just not an option.Capcom Asks Fans If They Would Like To See More 'Deluxe Remasters'

I would love if they did 1 or 3, nothing short of an overhaul and directors cut with a lot of additions could save 2 to be honest.

Any news about wherever Devil May Cry 6 is being worked on?
It's the little things. Like how Mary wipes the smirk off Dante's face when lowering the gun. The pauses in conversations. How Virgil sounds conflicted when he says "Nero..." This is what makes Devil May Cry work in terms of plot.
I suspect 6 will go something like this. Playing as Dante and Virgil in hell at first. Nero shows up halfway through, more focused then ever with different moves. I bet they're going to overhaul Nero.
I suspect something... Different. 5 is clearly showing "You're your own worst enemy". Capcom is heading somewhere with that. At this point Dante and Virgil are going to the roots of hell itself. Legit. Yggdrasil. This could be heading for a ragnarok. It would make sense, considering there's the tree itself.
Not sure how they're going to spin the story yet, but I know other games have done that kind of thing before. The stakes can get higher. Some destruction? Tch. Try warping reality itself. All Virgil did was try to be just another king. There's something... Else. Something bigger.
Saten as a boss maybe? Hades would be a good boss too. Or Hella. That can work. Hella would make the most sense here.

Kamiya has been yapping on Twitter about the pseudonyms used by the Sparda family outside of Tony Redgrave. Sparda being "Lord Spencer" makes perfect sense given the franchise's connection to Resident Evil and Oswald Spencer. But did we always know that Vergil's fake name was "Paul"?

Paul feels so random tho. Since Vergil dress like a Victorian dinner guest you think he'd have something more old-timey.

To be fair, the name "Paul" stretches all the way back to the Roman days and so it fits thematically with Vergil being named after the IRL Roman Poet Vergilius. Plus if it was too exotic it would defeat the purpose of being a fake name.

I'm hoping it makes a comeback in the new anime.
Paul just seems plain and mundane for him, nothing wrong with the name but it just doesn't suit him.
