DmC Magazine Scans

Eat that you trolling ninja theory you we have Chocolateghost the translator on our side!

So now that we know what it says that i translated the paragraph and Choco (for his hard work deserves the worlds largest cookie) translated the magazine do you guys think there will be a better translation in game informer or something
haha thanks :) now where's my cookie!? jk i did find the Malice thing interesting, definitely sounds like a dmc bad guy.

*Takes a deep breath* Ok from the start, the book cover depicting Dante and the angel women with huge butts bothered me. Not because of the butts, mind you but because of how sexual the scene is. That's not Dante, Dante is cheesy! (No pun intended) Dante uses cheap pick up lines and although he can be a "ladies man" at times, the women of DMC flock to Dante ultimately because of his courage and overall good nature.
Clearly the only way to get American attention is to add "emos" and sex to DMC. Trish and Lady gave teens with Anime porn fetishes enough to deal with in DMC4. This is just too much. Look I'm a true blue American but I don't need emo, goth, and sexual themes to get me into a video games.
DMC1 caught my attention perfectly as did DMC2,3, and 4. Really is this what teens are into now a days? Word of advice to "emo" "goth" teens go see a therapist and talk about your problems and lose the "I hate the world attitude" ok. Now before everyone gets on my case, I've accepted the New DmC Dante look but I don't accept his "teen with problems attitude."
It's stupid, some teens play video games to get away from their problems, a form of coping if you will. Teens with problems don't want to play video games about human/demon hybrids with problems. Lol It's truly idiotic lol. Now I'm sure DmC will have good game play and I'm going to buy it because I want to see what else they've done with this game. But so far the attitude direction is crap, covered in crap with crap filling.

I still just hate how Limbo city is looking.

Its supposed to be a demonic realm or something and yet it looks like a colorful child's city.

Just does not appeal to me.

Show me some dark and gritty settings.

I'm emo.
Dante is not emo. His hair is more pop than emo. It's too short to be emo and it's not even the right haircut. Nothing about his style is emo either. There's no skulls, no moons, no blood, no dark make-up... Nothing about Dante implicates that he is emo. Not even his personality. Dante is sassy, he's light-hearted, he freaking smiles! That is NOT emo! There's nothing in the trailers that implicates him being emo either.

The closest thing to Dante being emo is his hair from Devil May Cry 1-4, because it has a bit length to it and covers some of his face. That's about it.

But hey, thank you for judging people without knowing them.

Thank You Guys For Awsome Translations

I Just Thought It Would Be Nice To Have All Of Them In One Post , So Here We Go

When the old meets the new

After the announcement of a reboot of the historical saga of Devil May Cry, millions of fans from around the globe have expressed their dissent energetically, wanting the arrival of a true sequel after three years of waiting.
But the reason for this strong, collective disapproval was bound to the choice made by Capcom to replace the old with a new Dante, whose aesthetic characterizations are far distant from the original nature of the brand.

So the gym white-haired demon hunter was replaced, without too much fuss, by a slim teen with "emo" clothing, according to the development team Ninja Theory, they were trying to get closer to the social and cultural backgrounds of young people of today .
A younger character is not the only news of DmC, because from what we saw, the game features many new products in terms of both combat mechanics and navigation... and we're talking about very positive changes .

Above all, the battles have a dynamicism that already, at this stage of development, are spectacular and can enhance the character as only a certain Son of Sparda was able to do (f*ck God of War). In an attempt to discover some extra details of DmC we interviewed Tameem Antoniades, the lead developer of the project DMC Ninja Theory.

PS Mania: First of all, can we say whether this is a new and a younger Dante of previous chapters, or a Dante from a parallel dimension?Antoniades: DmC is a new beginning for Devil May Cry. While not completely adhering to the canons of the original series, it draws inspiration from them(?). DmC's narrative explores the youth of Dante, in a period of his life where he's still not comfortable with the powers that derive from his status as a hybrid between angel and devil.
PS MANIA: because in the trailers we see Dante with the white hair and red jacket, looks more close to that of past games? And that's his equivalent of the demonic form present in the past chapters?A: The one you refer to is the new Devil Trigger where he lets his demonic soul escape. This changes the look and feel of Dante, but also has an impact on gameplay. When Devil Trigger is activated, his strength and speed increase and all the demons that are hit at this stage will be raised from the ground, falling more slowly. You can continue to attack in midair and more time will be able to keep them suspended and inflict the most damage, while prolonging the duration of the Devil Trigger. Its a true test of skill.

PS MANIA: In the trailer we see the city changing before Dante's eyes.

A : city to fight the passage of Dante, the game environments come to life, thus changing and writhing as if something alive. The challenge of DMC will not be only against the enemy demons, but also in crossing levels in the most spectacular way possible. The city breaks down, mute, and writhes ... often you will be asked to jump and put your Brova skills to the test (I don't know what they mean by "in parkour"). The grappel will be needed in order to survive in certain situations. Not only battles, but then ... a little 'platform!

PS Mania : How important will be the exploration phase of the levels in DMC? Can we expect a lot during the "climbing" and jump like in Uncharted?
A : DMC is set in a surreal world, alive and dynamic, steeped in an ancient evil that wants to kill Dante. We call it Malice. In a world willing to do everything to stop you, the acrobatic ability of the player will have a decisive role in overcoming the obstacles that block your path. Dante's abilities will open new ways to explore the environment. For example, you can use his angelic powers for grabbing with a chain to get to otherwise inaccessible areas, or persfuggire quickly to landslide rubble on a house below(?) him. In Dante's demonic form, PUD to manipulate the world around you, dragging and dropping elements to create new roads.

PS MANIA: There will be puzzles to solve?
A : Yes, but the real focus of DmC are fighting and surviving the perils of the environment.

PS MAINA: Can you tell us something about the system enhancement of Dante and his weapons?
A : At first Dante will have very few skills but in the course of the game you will be able to increase the number of attacks and collect a large arsenal of weapons. You will again spend red orbs that you find throughout the game in one of the "shops".

PS MANIA: Will there be some cosmetic changes that emphasize the strengthening of Dante? Maybe showing more demonic traits?
A : At the moment I do not want to reveal anything about this.

PS MANIA: So we take that as a yes! Coming back to the fighting, will it be like the past (ie, focused on long sequences of keys) or will it follow the current fashion of simplifying gameplay(?) (ie, using a single button to do anything)?
A : DmC'scombat will be fast, fluid, technical, and most importantly, fun! It will be a very deep system with many moves that are "down to earth" that "fly" and can be linked together for very long combos. Dante will have three forms (human, angel and devil) and each will have unique weapons and a different style of fighting. You can change shape at any moment, even during a combo. This opens up an infinite number of combinations of possible attack, leaving great room for creativity of the players.

PS MANIA: The environments are visually spectacular! Where do you draw inspiration for the creation of cities and gigantic end bosses?
A: For the way in which Malice deforms, Our Director and Technician of Art, Stuart Adcock, has studied movies of objects imploding because of pressure, like a can of oil that suddenly collapses on itself. We also took inspiration from time-lapse movies (the ones where you shoot one frame at a later date) that give an eerie animation style. From the graphical point of view, our Visual Art Director Alessandro Taini took inspiration from some surreal, dreamlike combinations from neo-Gothic Europe. The buildings that you see are taken from English cities, like Barcelona and, of course, the hometown of that Alesandro and Genoa. As for the Boss, we don't want to reveal anything.

PS MANIA: To be honest, if we ask what is the history behind the previous chapters of Devil May Cry, we will not get a clear answer(?) ... even if the first and the second were finished(?) more than once. Will DmC's narrative have a more important role?
A: Yes, absolutely! DmC will tell of Dante as a teenager who discovers his purpose in life and learns to use his powers. I can't tell you more than this, or I'll(?) ruin the surprise.

PS MANIA: The Dante that we have seen in the last trailer is a little different from the one in the official announcement of the game. You have made changes as a result of comments received on the web?
A: Well, it's quite normal for the design of a character to change during the production(?), so we do not want make too many changes made on the conspiracy of DmC since it was first presented.

With this sentence ends our interview with Tameem Antoniades ... and despite what he has said (or perhaps because of what he told us), it reinforces in us the idea that some changes are due to fans' reactions. Capcom knows to pay close attention to feedback from the web (since the birth of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is due to a mobilization of their own fans online) and after the disasterous sales like Bionic Commando, you suppose that they want to have more say in which developers are working on their brands. Besides, when you want to innovate when its statistically impossible to please everyone, especially the faithful supporters of long standing franchise, it can be hard (damn nostalgia) (I assume this is a joke on the writer's part). Our advice however is to forget the past and begin to see this title with different eyes, because otherwise you could make the 'mistake of underestimating one of the most interesting games of 2012

What color text are you guys using?

Because I am still using the old version of the forum theme and it looks like its gray on gray which makes it EXTREMELY difficult to read.

Mind putting it in something more bright?

Just Changed it

Is It Good This time ?!

Oh okay, go ahead, say nothing of Railazel the Editor, don't give Railazel credit for the cleaning up the original translations and giving them a bit of humor. Nope, don't give Railazel a cookie. 'Cause its not like Railazel cares. Its not like Railazel (*sniff*) will cry over this (*sniff*) or something (*sob*)... (i want a cookie)

Good job Railazel.

Choco sent you a fabulous fruit basket in the mail.

@randomlulz- I didnt think about that.

I agree with Sparda's rejected son to a degree as i feel that dante shouldnt be made to act like a stereotypical teenager. Not all teenagers act the same way and they should focus on how dante would be as a teenager rather than making him act like a stereotypical one.

I dont think he is emo tho.

DmC Dante is a character that appeals to british youths. The design goal of Ninja theory is have british youths accept DmC Dante as cool. DmC project taking a british standpoint or perspective.

Either way, they have to consider the fact that Dante has to appeal to ALL youths, and he did because we was thought he was cool. In DMC1, his mature, witty intake on things was awesome especially considering that every demon he faced ended up ****ing their pants at the end of the fight after realizing who he was. In DMC2, he was just a bad@$$ Muther- Ucker all around. Don't believe me? Go back to his last fight with Argosax. Now, in DMC3, Dante took the cake. In fact, DMC3 is what makes the reboot kind of pointless. Dante, being young, took nothing seriously until near the end of the game. He mocked pretty much everyone he faced and took every situation he was in lightly. Seriously, Dante's nature didn't appeal to us because his cosmetics, it was the fact that he was calm in any situation that got us.

This Dante isn't going to appeal to anybody at all. Seriously, when I go ahead to watch a movie or play a game, I don't care about how relatable the characters are because they shouldn't be. Characters in any form of fiction shouldn't be relatable rather the things they should go through stuff that causes the audience to feel empathetic for them. You think Romeo & Juliet could appeal to anybody? No, but their situation causes to feel for them, it's the same with the DMC franchise. In DMC3, Dante had to come to grips with his father's legacy as well as having to experience the loss of his brother. In DMC1, he had to lose his brother again without ever realizing it was him until he died and ended up experiencing the death of his mother (sort of) for a second time while facing the monster that had killed her the first time. That's rough. DMC2 and DMC4 may have lost that edge but at that point, Dante's story has had enough telling, though we love him too much for it to end. Tameem is dead wrong if he thinks this Dante would draw up as much love as the Original, the Original can't be replaced and some reboot of him isn't going to gather the same amount of love that the Original had brought up. If they want to make him more relatable, quit the reboot, stop over- thinking the franchise, and show us a mid- teen version of the Original Dante coming to grips with his powers alongside his brother. Get the franchise back on track by giving us a proper story and stop jumping around with Dante's character.

Oh, and good job Sawyer (forget to say that) and thanks to everyone who told me that I did a good job.
