just realized that this is out of order :P here is the beginning of the interview, none the less im calling it page 3

When the old meets the new
'S announcement of a reboot of the historical saga of Devil May Cry, millions of fans from around the globe have expressed their dissent a particularly energetic, missed seeing the arrival of a true sequel now expected to be three years. But the reason for this strong disapproval of collective and bound to the choice by Capcom to replace the old with a new Dante, whose aesthetic characterizations are far distant from the original nature of the brand. So the gym white-haired demon hunter, and was replaced without too much fuss, by a slim teen from 'emo clothing, according to the development team Ninja Theory, you will get closer to the social and cultural backgrounds of young people of today.
A younger player is not the only news of DMC, because from what we saw, the game features many new products both in terms of combat mechanics to 'navigate' between the bottom ... and we're talking about very positive changes . Above all the battles have a dynamism that already at this stage of development are spectacular and can enhance the player as only a certain Spartan was able to do (of course we refer to God of War). In an attempt to discover some extra detail of DMC we did chat with Tameem Antoniades, the lead developer of the project DMC Ninja Theory.
PS Mania: First of all we can say whether this new Dante and a younger version of what appeared in the previous chapters, or a Dante different from a parallel dimension?
Antoniades: DMC is a new beginning for Devil May Cry. While not completely adhering to the canons of the original series, draws inspiration proonda. DMC's narrative explores the youth of Dante, in a period of his life and still not comfortable with the powers that derive from its status as a hybrid between angel and devil.
PS MANIA: because in the trailers we see Dante with the white hair and red jacket, looks more close to that of past games? And that 's equivalent of the demonic form present in the past chapters?
A: The one you refer to, and the new Devil Trigger when he lets his soul escape demonic. This change of 'look and feel of Dante, but also has an impact on gameplay. When Devil Trigger and active, the force and increase the speed of Dante and all the demons that hit at this stage will be raised from the ground falling more slowly. You can continue to attack in mid 'air and more time will be able to keep them suspended and inflict the most damage, while prolonging the duration of the Devil Trigger. And a true test of skill.
PS MANIA: In the trailer we see the city changing before our eyes of Dante.

page 2

A: For the way in which Malice deforms, Our Director and Technician of Art, Stuart Adcock, has studied movies of objects imploding because of pressure, like a can of oil that suddenly collapses on itself. We also took inspiration from time-lapse movies (the ones where you shoot one frame at a later date) that give an eerie animation style. From the graphical point of view, our Visual Art Director Alessandro Taini took inspiration from some surreal, dreamlike combinations from neo-Gothic Europe. The buildings that you see are taken from English cities, like Barcelona and, of course, the hometown of that Alesandro and Genoa. As for the Boss, we don't want to reveal anything.
PS MANIA: To be honest, if we ask what is the history behind the previous chapters of Devil May Cry, we will not get a clear answer(?) ... even if the first and the second were finished(?) more than once. Will DmC's narrative have a more important role?
A: Yes, absolutely! DmC will tell of Dante as a teenager who discovers his purpose in life and learns to use his powers. I can't tell you more than this, or I'll(?) ruin the surprise.
PS MANIA: The Dante that we have seen in the last trailer is a little different from the one in the official announcement of the game. You have made changes as a result of comments received on the web?
A: Well, it's quite normal for the design of a character to change during the production(?), so we do not want make too many changes made on the conspiracy of DmC since it was first presented.

With this sentence ends our interview with Tameem Antoniades ... and despite what he has said (or perhaps because of what he told us), it reinforces in us the idea that some changes are due to fans' reactions. Capcom knows to pay close attention to feedback from the web (since the birth of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is due to a mobilization of their own fans online) and after the disasterous sales like Bionic Commando, you suppose that they want to have more say in which developers are working on their brands. Besides, when you want to innovate when its statistically impossible to please everyone, especially the faithful supporters of long standing franchise, it can be hard (damn nostalgia) (I assume this is a joke on the writer's part). Our advice however is to forget the past and begin to see this title with different eyes, because otherwise you could make the 'mistake of underestimating one of the most interesting games of 2012.

And here you go.

I consider this one my best :D. Hey, didn't he say all this in another interview? Or am I having some serious case of Deja Vu?

The cover with Dante and those angels look really beautiful. Dante is such a player, not even the purest of beings can resist his charm. XD
Who made that?

A hypocrite speaking of Dante as if it's the same Dante despite the opposite.
Doesn't even have the guts to admit they have taken inspiration from Inception. Just talk in a general way.

Just like a politician.

Seems like DT is only DT in DmC.

Nice translation guys :)
He only repeated what he said in other interviews, I was expecting more information, but that's ok.

Alessandro Taini , the visual art director of NT.

Did he make art for the other games as well? The style looks remarkably like Enslaved and Heavenly Sword.

Yes, he did the art for Heavenly Sword and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. He is a rather talented and great art designer, but I felt that his art design for DmC Devil May Cry is not particular suitable. If the artworks are a bit more darker and gothic themed, it would be much better.

Ooooh, preeetteeeeh.
It's true that his art for Devil May Cry should have a more gothic look, but Ninja Theory games have always been colourful and beautiful, so I guess it makes sense that his art for this game is as well. And there are also alot more colours in this new Devil May Cry, kinda like they had in Devil May Cry 4. So it's not like it is all new for the series.

Ironically, the same problem I had with DMC4 is the environments and art design are too colourful. Either way, perhaps playing DmC by next year might change my mind about the art design of the game itself, but I am not counting on it.

Nice find Gaflima ;), and thanks for the translation choco :). Pretty good interview.

PS MAINA: Can you tell us something about the system enhancement of Dante and his weapons?
A: At first Dante will have very few skills but in the course of the game you will be able to increase the number of attacks and collect a large arsenal of weapons. You will again spend red orbs that you find throughout the game in one of the "shops" enhancement.
I like this part, it confirms red orbs are returning and will be used for upgrades. I was a little worried that they were absent in the most recent gameplay trailer.

I prefer the style from Devil May Cry 3 myself. That was dark and gothic with a touch of demonic seasoning. ^^

Mine would be DMC1 and DMC3 art style. The only thing I don't like in DMC3 art style is the Devil Trigger designs. They are unique, but I felt that they are out of place in a DMC game.

I totally agree on that. The Devil Trigger look in Devil May Cry 3 is the only thing I dislike about Dante in that game. He doesn't look demonic, he looks like a Cartoon Network character. Yuck.

Yeah. Another irony is that despite DMC2 is the worst DMC game, the Devil Trigger designs and overall art designs are rather awesome, personally.

You may be right about that, though Dante's coat looks like it is made by red velour instead of leather. It just looks weird. His Devil May Cry 3 look is the best, imo. But yeah, the Devil May Cry 2 DT looks cool. The Devil May Cry 4 DT is the coolest looking though, imo. I'm disappointed that the new Dante doesn't have a DT demon form, but just turns white-haired and gets a red coat. That should be his main look and then his DT should turn demonic.

haha well i got the first page done :) it is a fairly rough translation so forgive me lol

A city to fight
the passage of Dante, the game environments come to life, thus converting and writhing as if something alive. The challenge of DMC will not be only against the enemy demons, but also in crossing levels of play in the most spectacular way possible. The city breaks down, mute, writhes ... often you will be asked to jump and give your Brova skills in parkour. The grappel will be determined in order to survive in certain situations. Not only battles, but then ... a little 'platform!
How important will be the exploration phase of the levels in DMC? Can we expect a lot during the "climbing" and jump on platforms to Uncharted?
A. DMC is set in a surreal world, alive and dynamic steeped in an ancient evil that wants to kill Dante. We call Malice. In a world willing to do everything to stop, the acrobatic ability of the player will have a decisive role to overcome the obstacles that block the road. The ability of Dante will open new ways to explore the environment. For example, you can use his angelic powers for grabbing with a chain of otherwise inaccessible areas, or persfuggire quickly to landslide rubble of a house on him. In Dante's demonic form PUD manipulate the world around dragging and dropping elements to create new roads.
PS MANIA: There will be puzzles to solve?
A: Yes, but the real focus of the DMC are fighting and surviving the perils of the environment.
PS MANIA: There will be some cosmetic changes that emphasize the strengthening of Dante? Maybe showing more demonic traits?
A. At the moment I do not want to reveal anything about this.
PS MANIA: So we take that as a yes! Coming to the fighting, it will be like the past (ie, focused on long sequences of keys) or follow the current fashion to simplify the whole (ie, using a single button to do anything)?
A. The DMC will combat fast, fluid, and technical, the most important thing, fun! will be a very deep with many moves is "down to earth" that "fly" that can be linked together for very long combos. Dante will have three forms (human, angel and devil) and each will have unique weapons and a different style of fighting. You can change shape at any moment, even during a combo. This opens up an infinite combinations of possible attack, leaving great room for creativity of the players.
PS MANIA: The environments are visually spectacular! Where do you draw inspiration for the creation of cities and gigantic end bosses?
good job my friendo
